When LO was younger, i preferred afternoon parties but now i'm indifferent between morning/afternoon.
What about you? What time of day do you prefer birthday parties to be?

I prefer afternoon/evening. Though because of LO mornings would be hard & with an early bedtime, evening isn't really our thing anymore either lol

Morning or early afternoon. I went to a 3-6 party a few months ago and didn't really like the timing.

Afternoon-- like, 12p or 1p start. I don't like to rush out the door during the weekends unless we have to, so a morning party would be too much in the AM for us. Evenings, we like to spend together as a family over dinner or whatnot.

At 2 years old I prefer morning parties by far. It's predictable that we'll be ready to be somewhere anywhere after 9:30 and she's in a good mood all morning. We can do snacks to push lunch later if needed. Afternoon and evening parities are tougher bc naptime and getting up from naptime varies from day to day

Anytime but morning! I rush enough 5 days a week; I'm not rushing my weekend mornings for anyone!

We're doing an evening bday party (4pm-7pm), hopefully people are cool with it!

@blackbird: that's what we did this year! I prefer later afternoon to evening now, but that's based on my toddlers schedule mostly. He naps from 1:30-3:30ish, so a 4pm thing is great for us. Something at 1pm would be miserable.

@mrs. pen, that's what i was hoping! E is still napping from 3-4, so 4-7 works for us. If it doesn't work for another family (and i think 4-530 is probably even ok for most with toddlers--we ARE serving dinner!), then...oh well!
I mean, korean pork tacos, cookie dough truffles, and chocolate cupcakes. 'nuff said

morning! we're going to a bday party that is 930a-1130a tomorrow. LOVE IT! Might be too early for some people but our whole family consists of early birds....so it's GREAT! and then we have the whole rest of our day to do stuff.

I prefer evening, after everyone naps but before bed, so 3:30ish to 7ish.

@blackbird: I think that sounds great! I liked not feeling like we had a time constraint (no nap to get to or "other thing" to do later). It was more relaxed.

I would prefer morning or evening. He naps around 1-3.
We have a bday party next wknd starting 12 and I really don't want to go because it's right at his naptime!
