I much prefer in-person interviews! I'm much more charasmatic and charming in person!! 
I have an hour (!??) long phone interview for next week....eeekkk!

I like in person interviews. With phone interviews, I make sure that I have questions and a notepad ready to fully gather my thoughts through it.

@.twist.: yes. they suck. i hate them. it's usually the first step before they decide to either bring you in for a real interview or say wow you suck, no thanks. mine is so long because the manager is actually out of town for the next month and its the only way she can interview me!

I prefer in-person too. I feel like there's too much left to interpretation on the phone!

In person, for me and for them. I 'interview' all my wedding clients in person the only time I don't is if it will be a travel wedding then I Skype. It's hard to capture chemistry/connection over the phone.

In person. I like for my charisma, sparkle, and smile to win people over.
No seriously, i just find phone conversations more awkward.

I don't like phone interviews because of the weird silences and pauses, and you do miss out on the chemistry of an in-person interview. But I do like that I don't have to get dressed up and put make-up on lol!!

@NovBaby1112: I prefer in-person interviews. Make sure you dress up for your phone interview. It's silly but it helps!

I did great on that phone interview, was recommended by the search committee after a 2-hour in-person interview with 6 people and then the director hired someone else because she was more of a "strong Black woman." I hate that guy.

In person is preferred. Whether I am the one getting interviewed or interviewing someone else. It is hard to judge the other person's reactions when you can't see their facial expression and silence is more awkward over the phone.
