We're going to FL next month and I have some summer clothes for DD that I think will still fit her. One was gifted and one I bought. The pink one I originally had a shirt for but it's NB size and definitely won't fit any more. It also looked a little off with a shirt under it.
I've seen pics of bubbles like the blue one and they don't seem to have shirts under them but it also seems a little bare? Maybe I'm just crazy, lol.
So what do you guys think, shirts under

We don't wear shirts under bubbles unless it's fall and I'm trying to stretch the outfit.
I live in the South and I see these kind of outfits all the time. Rarely do I see a shirt underneath.

Floridian here, and we wear those with no shirt underneath. My daughters have quite a few of these.

Haha I'm from the prudish NE and the blue one seems so bare without a shirt! I'm also new to being a girl mom and hadn't really seen it at least noticed these before.

@ShootingStar: We have that exact same pink romper from J&J. We have worn it both ways in high summer--with no shirt,and with a white tank under. It's cute both ways! I'll see if I can find a pic somewhere.

So cute! As long as it's hot enough, I wouldn't. If anyone I'd bring a short/long sleeve cardigan to wear if you'll be in AC or out in the evening when it's a little cooler.

No shirt. I would do a light cardigan rather than a shirt if it's chilly. The pink one is adorable - do you know where it's from?

I live in the South and see these a lot in the spring/summer. I never see shirts underneath them. I usually see ones like these with the open back called "sunsuits." I will say I'm not a huge fan personally because they can be very bare. But I'm also a huge prude! That said, I wouldn't hesitate to put a cute white shirt underneath to get more coverage!

Agree with cardigan if needed. Some frilly blouses could work but hard to make it look quite right. And I love baby sweaters

I dunno, those seem like a recipe for disaster with me as a mom...I am not the best with sunscreen and putting it on really well, so I wouldn't even bother with those.

We would do them alone on hot summer days but with long sleeves and tights in fall or winter!

Okay, I'm going to make sure they fit her and bring them along for the trip. Great thing about baby clothes is they don't take up much room, lol.
@looch: She's so little still that if we're outside she'll probably be in the shade of the stroller or being worn in a baby carrier. When she's older and walking around more, I could see it being more of an issue.

Never! DD pretty much exclusively wears bubbles and sun suits in the warmer months. The only thing I put a shirt under is long rompers that are worn in the fall and winter. They are so adorable on with the open back.

Nope. Typically in the summer heat I'm trying to cool her off as much as possible - her first summer was an epic heat wave and she was in nothing but a diaper 99% of the time.
