When we don't have the TV on (working on cutting that down) we like to have music on. I'll put Kid Tunes on sometimes but honestly, there is only so much I can handle of that. There is a station on the TV that plays modern adult hits that is decently kid friendly so that's on a lot too. We don't have an actual radio inside but I love these stations on the TV, no commercials!
What kind of music do you play for LO when they are at home, playing?

Sometimes we listen to the Music Together station on Pandora, since we used to do Music Together classes, and my son likes the songs. When I get tired of that, I'll listen to adult music too, but I make sure it's nothing inappropriate.

Yep, I always have something on, whether it's Pandora, Kids Tunes, Jazz, or NPR. I need background noise.

We stream the classical music station through my phone (iPod docking station) for most of the day. I don't like silence and I like exposing my girls to a bit of culture. It makes me smile now when they identify songs and recognise which ones are mummy's favourites 
We also have a bunch of nursery rhyme CDs that we listen to on occasion, but honestly, unless they're in the mood for dancing, the girls prefer the more mellow classical music, which is fine by me!

Oh man, if we are going to listen to kid music, it has to be something I like, too. I love the Okee Dokee Brothers, and Tom Chapin isn't too bad (we especially like the "Give Peas a Chance" album all about food). During her first year it was lots of Jack Johnson and Ray LaMontagne to keep us both calm.

Sometimes. I used to do Pandora on our Roku (on the tv), but now if the tv is on they want to watch something, sigh. So more and more we don't do any music at all.

I put on pandora through a speaker. Sometimes I'll listen to a kids station but more often it's mellow regular music, like the Adele station or something. It's more for me than for her. I especially need it during meals.

If I'm home alone with her, yes I usually do because it otherwise is so quiet! Had a snow day yesterday and put some music on and and LO would randomly stop what she was doing to shake her booty every once in a while. So cute!
During my maternity leave I loved putting "Cool Family Radio" on on the apple TV. I was sad recently to discover that Apple took away the free radio stations. No more cool family 
I don't play kid music though, kid music is reserved for meltdowns in the car.

This is something I'm currently working on. I made the mistake of giving E total control of all media in the house and the car. While she's awake, we only ever have kids TV or nursery rhyme videos on, and we have Peppa Pig songs or kids music on the car. If we try to change the channel, she kicks off. The constant, horrible noise of it grates on my nerves and contributes to my anxiety.
Music, on the other hand (of my choice), has always been good for my mood. I've been working on it in the car initially and being able to listen to some relaxing music has been life changing. I'm hoping to be able to do the same in the house one day.

We listen to Pandora through our Jambox. We like Justin Roberts, Elizabeth Mitchell and the Okee Dokee Brothers for kids stuff, but we also listen to a lot of classical and early jazz during the day.

We got a mini speaker that syncs to my iPhone via Bluetooth in her room. I just play country music. It was $20ish on Amazon, love it!

Yeah, she loves music. She likes the bluegrass and oldies stations on my Pandora, best. I also play classical or piano a bit before nap or during quiet time (i.e. when she refuses to nap).

We have Sonos in the living area and playroom, so often we have a on radio station of 70's music. It has clean lyrics, and it reminds me of when I was a kid. My son often sings the theme song of the radio station (it's Pandora, I think).

We listen to classical mostly or Pandora. I have a record player and DS is obsessed with it so he's gotten used to classical music. I don't have many other records. He's obsessed with having music on, to the point where it becomes annoying even if it is music we like.

We listen to spotify, pandora, and local radio on our Sonos. I started lo on regular (non-kid) music from the beginning so she likes most everything. We do listen to kid's music too. I can usually put on 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s playlists and not worry about content but I also have some playlists I've made that I know are ok. We like talk radio too.

I made a playlist of songs that I like to listen to that I also know a lot of the words to and/or like to dance to. It's fun to have it on when she's playing because there is lots of inspiration for singing/dancing breaks. Some of it is kids' music that I remember from my childhood, some is just catchy modern music that I like.

Yes, when I'm home alone with her, I have pandora playing for most of the day. Right now, it's all adult music. As she gets older, and able to recognize more, I'll add in some kids music. I try to talk to her a lot and narrate what I'm doing as well, but it's just too quiet with no music.

I turn on Pandora about half the time. I rotate between oldies, Disney, and a station based on Mumford and sons (I don't know what genre that's considered).
