I do! I feel a little creepy like I know more about others than I reveal about myself. I learn so much from the boards...I am so grateful for the resource!

Yes I do, I feel like sometimes after reading the post I might not have the greatest input so I don't say anything!
cantaloupe / 6017 posts
@maybebaby: yes, but I usually don't reply if someone has already said what I was going to say. I'd like to get to know people better though, so I should probably start replying more & make some friends!
grapefruit / 4997 posts
@maybebaby: I read lots of posts too! I appreciate all the HB moms that share so much valuable information so every time they start a thread, I try to reply as much as I can.
pomegranate / 3779 posts
@lulu mom - same! Sometimes I'm just interested in what people have to say but I don't have anything to add since LO is still young and we may not have any experience with that topic.
pomelo / 5220 posts
I woudl say yes, I don't always have anything to add. Plus I was shy about posting at first.
pomegranate / 3212 posts
Totally. Sometimes I figure my add ins won't really be a contribution. Womp womp
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
Yes; I don't reply if my reply is the same as a lot of people's, or if I am not relevant to the actual discussion but I like to read a lot of the posts to learn different things!
eggplant / 11408 posts
At first, yes, but now I feel like I'm getting better about posting
blogger / pomegranate / 3044 posts
Yes! I'm trying to be better. I feel weird replying when there's already a bunch of responses and I don't really have anything unique to say.
cherry / 126 posts
Yes. Same as pp with not posting if someone else already said the same thing I would have. I should get better at posting. I definitely enjoy reading/learning from the experiences of others here.
grapefruit / 4311 posts
I definitely read a lot more than I post bc I might not have a new point of view to add, or if it's a controversial or heated topic, I won't post bc I don't feel the need to argue my point of view with people online
nectarine / 2834 posts
Definitely. I hate replying from my phone which is where I do most of my reading.
cantaloupe / 6059 posts
@Tidybee: Yup. This. It's hard to type long responses on my phone and I'm usually reading while nursing or giving a bottle so I don't have both hands free anyways.
I've learned so much from this community (both useful now and in the future!) and I'm really thankful for it. There are a lot of wonderful parents here and I hope someday I can add to the community and be a resource as well.
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
Not many more, but sometimes I just don't have anything meaningful to contribute, or have no opinion about something, so I don't.
I'm interested in threads about day care and working moms, because I'm looking for a job and those will be relevant to me, but for now they aren't something I have any experience with so I don't comment--I have nothing to contribute.
grapefruit / 4823 posts
Totally! I feel like I have nothing to contribute most of the time haha
grapefruit / 4089 posts
Absolutely. I'm still in the lurking around, absorbing information phase I'm sure once we start TTC I'll feel like I have more to post about!
pear / 1657 posts
Yep. Sometimes I don't feel like I have much valuable to add or have time to put together a thoughtful response. Also, I often look back at old threads for advice or info.
pomegranate / 3863 posts
Yeah! I don't want to repeat the same thing that 10+ other people have said before me (kind of like what I'm doing now!).
honeydew / 7303 posts
@maybebaby: yes!!!! The past two days I've tried to post on every thread I read. It's been challenging!
grapefruit / 4213 posts
Yes. I'm curious (nosey), I search old posts for research, and sometimes I just don't have any advice or experience so I read but don't post.
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
I do. I don't often like to repost the same answer if 50 people already said it, unless they're going for a high number of responses for some reason
cherry / 185 posts
Yep! For many of the same reasons as pp. It also depends on my energy level a.k.a. if baby is sleeping well that day or not I should post more often though… it's more fun to be involved!
bananas / 9357 posts
Yep. I've been lurking a lot lately because I've been reading from my phone and it's annoying trying to reply a lot from there.
nectarine / 2220 posts
Yep, I read a lot of stuff about babies older than my own for future reference, but don't have much experience to contribute. Plus I often read while nursing on my phone and only have one hand free so it's annoying to type.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
If I read it and don't have anything to contribute, or no advice, I will just continue on. I try and give kind words if someone is in need of help and I can't give it though.
pomegranate / 3895 posts
For sure. When I don't contribute it's usually because a. I have the same question as the OP, b. I'm just curious, c. Whatever I have to add has already been said numerous times.
persimmon / 1361 posts
Most of the time! Not sure why. I'm not super talkative IRL and I guess that expands to here as well. Plus, I'm usually on my phone or iPad so replying can be tedious!
persimmon / 1304 posts
I am curious, so yes! I also think it's sometimes a pain to reply when I only have one hand free because I am nursing or something.
clementine / 770 posts
Yep, all the time. I usually don't have anything to add, but i always have a lot to learn.
grapefruit / 4903 posts
For sure, and for lots of reasons. I don't like replying from my phone. DH is fairly private and so wouldn't want me sharing too much personal info. And sometimes I just don't have anything nice to say Usually though, I'm agree with the others and I don't want to beat a dead horse.
nectarine / 2936 posts
@LovelyPlum: Getting better about posting, miss 5927 posts!?!
I definitely read more than I respond to, but I think it's easier to respond more/have more to contribute as you advance in your stage if that makes sense. I used to only feel comfortable posting on TTC and general topics but now I feel like I can post on some of the pregnancy ones and eventually the baby ones, etc.
apricot / 334 posts
Yes. I always read HB when I'm nursing and I am horrible with typing on my phone. Am trying to post more and be a helpful bee when I can!
clementine / 818 posts
I'm a little embarrassed by how many threads I read and don't post on! I'm a super stalker, but I don't mean to be, I've also had an account since hellobee was in beta, so I've been stalking for a long time. Feel free to call me a creeper
apricot / 342 posts
Yes! But I'm trying to be better about posting. I just found this site recently and I love it!
cantaloupe / 6630 posts
Yes, mainly because I'm usually on my phone and typing can be difficult. If I can get on the laptop, I reply to much more.
