My doula was useful for a grand total of about 15 minutes, so I kind of wish we'd sent her away sooner. She did take some photos of the birth, which are wonderful to have, but once DD had been born and I was stitched up and the medical team left, she stuck around and it felt a bit intrusive. I was too exhausted to do much about it at the time but, looking back, I'd have told her to go get something to drink and give DH, DD, and me a few minutes all to ourselves.

No regrets - just DH and hospital staff. I had zero desire to have anyone else there - as my mom always says, childbirth is not a spectator sport - and there were no expectations from anyone else that they would be allowed to be there either.

For my first two births it was just DH and my bestie who just happened to also be a doula and was "working" the birth.
For my last birth, my daughter was there (she was 6) and my same friend/doula who was at her birth was there for her in case she had questions or got scared. DD ended up staying for everything (<1 hour labour) and got to cut the cord with DH.
No regrets at all.

C-sections both times so only my husband was allowed. If vaginal I still would have preferred it that way I think.

Nope. For the actual delivery it was just DH & I and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Then there was about 20 some other people in attendance (dr, nurses, nicu nurse for each baby, anastesialogist, nicu dr & then a bunch of students I allowed to watch the show...at that point, I was pretty much "come one, come all" heh )

Just DH and no, not really. I ended up not being able to bring who I was going to because they locked down the labor ward due to rotavirus, so it was just DH. He was kind of terrified and useless (not that I blame him, it was a massacre), but I had a midwife with me the whole time and she was wonderful!

It probably would've been good if my midwife or OB had made it in there!

Dh was there. Aand my mom was there most of it, left part way through pushing, and I don't regret it. This next time it will be just dh and I.

I had a home birth in the end it was DH, my mom, doula and midwife. We sent my mother home to get some sleep while my labour was still light and didn't call her back over until I was pushing. Most of my laboring was DH and myself and my doula at the end. I was glad for the privacy. By the time pushing came I didn't really care who was around. I didn't want touches or much help, DH would give me little sips of Gatorade when I rested. Everyone else just stood around and check the baby's heart beat sometimes. It was so nice to be supported but not bothered.
It was amazing to have my mom there after.

So many regrets!!! It was supposed to just be DH & I but a friend visited really early during labor and stayed????!!! Luckily the nurse kicked her out during pushing/etc but I was super irritated the whole time and super pissed that DH didn't get my cues to kick her out. I would have done it myself but I was dealing with a failed epidural and didn't even think she would stay the whole time, like over 14 hours...
