One of dh and my biggest fears as first time parents is facing the first time LO will get hurt or sick! :T I can't even imagine how we will feel... and I'm positive it will be ingrained in my memory forever.

Yep! DH clipped her skin while cutting her nails.

He totally WASN'T being careful. -
When LO was 2 days old, she had the skin under her tongue snipped because she was tongue-tied and couldn't latch and every day, hubs had to break open the wound so that it wouldn't heal back together. IT was sooooooooooo awful. Then a couple of months ago LO was really sick with roseola. Stress bomb.

DD just got over her first cold yesterday/today. It wansn't the worst thing ever, but it sucked seeing her all snotty and cranky. Our snot sucker got a lot of use the last few days.

She had a cough when she was around 3 months old
She didn't need meds or anything, but it was awful hearing her cough for a week straight -
High fever last weekend. It was pretty stressful and crummy!
We've had plenty of bumps and scratches since he is a little boy, but they weren't stressful. Heck, he came out with a huge bruise on his head, so they were nothing compared to how we got him!

Like sick to be in the hospital? So far never.
My son's had a cold that lasted two weeks and stomach virus that lasted a week. I wouldn't say I remember every gory detail, but I do pretty much remember what happened.

Right now! DS is not exactly sick but he has the sniffles and that tiny blocked nose kept all three of us up last night. Luckily he doesn't have a temperature so doesn't need any meds.

Worst things:
1. The first time she rolled off the couch
2. The first time she was sick and fell limp in my arms burning up from a fever and we had to go to the ER (seeing her get an IV was no fun either). -
Like, when I bonked her head on the microwave when she was 2 months old? That's the worst that has happened so far. I DREAD her first cold or bad illness or injury.

My lo is pretty healthy so she's only had one cold (knock on wood!) . She was 8 months and a miserable snotty mess.
