We had an Apple II GS...old school! I think it was the limited edition with Woz's signature on the case.

Yup! We had the IBM PS/1 in 1990. I recall my mom saying that it was really expensive.

We had a PC, but I honestly can not remember when we got it, I want to say it was when I was a senior in high school?
I bought my first Mac when I went to college, it had a trackball and a black and white screen. I loved that thing.

I can picture it., but I can't think of what brand it was. I'm pretty sure it was an Apple. My parents used to print out Muppet Babies for me on the long, connected reams of paper?

I have no idea what kind of computer it was, I think it was a PC, but here is a picture of me "using" it when I was one (so this was 1988).

@pui: Back in the day we called those "clones".
I recall people referred to computers as Mac, IBM or "clones" (aka a PC but not made by IBM).

Yes! We had a Commodore 64, second hand! I think it was in 1988 when we got it. So cool

My parents both worked for computer companies, so I am not sure if it was IBM or the now defunct Digital Equipment Corporation. My earliest computer memory was at 5 or 6 when my mom added Ts across the top of a DOS screen for me to type on. The T was for my first name, but as a kid I thought all computers came like that.
In 6th grade we got our first color printer and that was really cool. My classmates were still using Kinko's.

I don't remember exactly what it was, but it was a PC. I remember playing Jump Man on it (a DOS game).

We had a computer for as long as I can remember. Our first was an IBM, I believe. I remember using DOS when I was 4, so that was 1988-89. We live in Silicon Valley, so my schools have always been stocked with Apple computer labs. I learned how to type (properly) in kindergarten.

I thikn it was an IBM. I remember we had one of the old school printers with the dots and you had to tear the sides off the paper!

I had an apple similar to OP but in college. Our family couldn't afford a regular computer so I saved until I bought one of those babies. I think it was around $1900 (or was it $900?). I had a big decision to either buy that or a Summer abroad trip to Guadalajara. As part of the decision making, I called a radio station during their Keep Me on the Phone contest. They said to buy the computer instead of pay for the trip because I was less likely to get a virus that way.
