I say Coke or Pepsi or whatever the name of it is....I'd sound stupid saying 'soda' or 'pop.' I'm a Southern girl, y'all.

Soda. I grew up in MD and OH, some people in OH called it pop, irritated the crap outta me! Lol like nails on a chalkboard.

Most people here call it pop, a few say soda and we only say Coke if it's a Coke. I've never heard anyone call a pop a Coke if it were a Sprite or something lol...weird

@mrbee: it is true, termed Pittsburghese! Some of it I never realized until college friends from other places pointed out! And some of Pittsburgh talk I hate and refuse to use!

I'm a mixed up kid... I grew up saying Pop (midwest!), but I moved to New York and was teased all.the.time, so I go between soda and pop and sometimes just soda pop. No one here says soda unless they're an immigrant.
