My lo LOVES Curious George books. She wants us to read the same one over and over and over and over again. I find ways to skip pages when she's not looking (or not paying attention) and summarize the book as I go. I know I won't be able to do this forever so I'm taking advantage while I can. 
Do you skim through books you despise but your lo loves?

my LO knows the pages and the order and can often "read" it outloud to himself from memory. So whooooops I lose the books I don't like.

We have a Cinderella book that is the LONGEST story ever. I skim a lot of this one...otherwise it takes 30 minutes to read in addition to the others she chooses!

yes! We have a book about a bagel that is super long - I read it to DD in record time and my DH was like "There is no way you read that whole book"
Read a few skip a few, repeat
