A radio station I was listening to this morning asked this question. If you are lying down in bed and you sit up like you're in a car, are you on the drivers side or passenger side?
I'm on the passenger side.

This is so funny! I've never thought of it like that. I sleep on the passenger side!

haha never thought of it in this way! Right now I'm on the driver's side because it's closer to the bathroom, which was necessary when I was pregnant. But usually I'm on the passenger side because it's further from the door. I like Wagon Sr. to be closer to the door in case an intruder comes in our room... then he will be closer to attack them.

I'm always on the driver's side at home, but DH gets dibs on vacation. He really prefers the driver's side, too!

@mrs. wagon: my BFF has the same logic, she hates sleeping on the door side.
I'm a drivers side girl

Driver's side, but I think we might switch when baby comes, as there's more room on the other side of the bed for a bassinet.

Driver's side. I sleep most comfortably on my left side, and I hate sleeping facing inwards, so I must be on the driver's side.

Does this say something about your relationship? Do I get to tell my hubs that I must be the pants wearer since I sleep in the drivers seat???

Driver's side. Ha! Hubby does prefer for me to drive if we are both going somewhere.

Passenger, but it is new for us since I recently moved the bed. We had to switch sides so I am closer to the door and baby, can hear him better and my husband hears him less and sees less light from the living room, and so the dog stops jumping on his legs when he jumps on the bed.

Drivers side. It's closest to the bathroom, and the door.
Plus I cant fit in the space between the wall and the bed on the other side anymore

@oliviaoblivia: bahahha it totally took me a couple seconds to get that!!!
Drivers side!! Does it say something about your relationship??
@mrs. wagon: that's SO weird that you can switch. DH and I switched sides once and I was waking up every half hour. I cannot sleep on the opposite side.

@Jennimac: This shocks me! I have to fight tooth and nail for my husband to let me drive when we are together! Even when we go in my car!! It makes me bonkers.

@Coco Bee: hehe. Sometimes if we're away from home, we switch and I wake up TOTALLY disoriented and freaked out! Whenever we switch I get disoriented for a few days and then I get used to it. We move around our furniture a lot so I'm used to switching to be further from the door, then I had to switch when I was pregnant both times

@MamaMoose: for real?!?! I love driving and I'm a much better driving than DH. For our first two years of marriage (well, up until my last month of pg really) I was driving all the time. I let him start driving when I was too pg to be comfortable and now he is in the habit of driving mostly... but I still prefer to drive. He is so distracted. And OBSESSED With being on his phone while driving and he cannot multi task so I don't think he realizes how dangerous he is being.

I'm on the passenger side (and DH does always always drive-- I hate driving and avoid it any time I can). But the location is due to the proximity to the door/bathroom. I must sleep closer to the bathroom (which is also closer to the door, in our current apartment). so it switches based on that.

@Coco Bee: Oh I am for sure a better/safer driver than hubs. And any impartial 3rd party witness would agree with that. But he fails to see that. I think it makes him feel less manly to be driven around by his wifey!! And honestly now that we've installed the car seat I really can't win because we put it behind the passenger seat (wouldn't get level in the middle) so hubs just can not get comfortable on the passenger side because he's 6'6"!

Driver's side! Mainly because we have mirrored doors on our closet and they're on that side--I use the mirror a lot more than DH! Otherwise I think we'd switch because it's closer to the living room and further from the bathroom.

@MamaMoose: oh that is a bummer!! see I have longer legs than DH even though he is taller! the carseat is behind his seat (the drivers side) but there seems to be more leg room on the drivers side regardless...
It took a LONG time for DH to see the error of his was while driving. It was the only thing we fought about while we were dating. He is a born and bred NYer and they are known for their aggressive and heartless driving. He took it a step further because his brother is a cop and he always got off scotch free. One time though he got pulled over and the cop didn't fall for his "brother of a cop" card trick, and he got ticketed for three violations! Then he missed his court date because he got off work late and traffic was bad. I was kind of happy hahaha he was soo mad at me though. Anyway it taught him a little then I moved him to the calmer midwest and he's improved. lol

passenger! I just thought about it and in every bed/house i've ever slept in I always am on the side closest to the door!

LOL driver's side! I wonder if this says anything about me...
What's funny about this, is DH calls it the bedcar because he used to pretend his bed was a car when he was a kid. So when I'm feeling sad or grumpy, he'll be like, "Do you want to drive the bed car?" like it'll make me feel better lol.

@MamaMoose: if it is a long trip, he will drive, but if it is around town, he likes me to drive. I think it is because he commutes for a few hours every couple of days.

Passengers side. DH is pretty protective. He likes to sleep closest to the door in case an intruder came in they'd have to go through him to get to me. *eye roll* LOL

Driver's side, forever.
When we went to buy zip-together sleeping bags, they came in male and female versions. The only ones they had in stock had us on the wrong sides, but we didn't want to wait. So now when we go camping we go crazy being on the wrong side and all different and it makes me nuts. Some things you just don't mess with.

Passenger side, but only recently. We switched sides because we pushed our bed against a wall so that E could sleep between me and the wall.

Driver's side. Only because we sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed. I don't know why we started doing this.. Lol

Driver's side. It's kinda sad because my husband likes the driver's side too but I can't sleep otherwise so I won.

I sleep furthest from the door wherever we are. So right now it's the passenger side.

I used to be on the driver side, but when LO was born put the crib on the passenger side, so i moved to sleep there
