Ever since the baby arrived, I haven't reached out all that much. I was never one who had a huge group of friends but I have a few close ones down here. There just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day!
Do you spend a lot of time with friends? How often do you see them?

We get together about once a month maybe... sometimes we'll get together with other couple friends every other week for dinner or a movie.

We aren't incredibly social, but we have many friends at our church so we see them usually once a week. A few times a year we try to invite people over for dinner.

I was actually thinking about this last night. I think we're fairly social people and I do meet up with friends quite often. I'm scared I'll become like a couple of my friends, who, once they've had babies, seem to never go out and socialize. One of my bridesmaids, I've seen like three times since she's had her kid, and never seen him outside of their home (and he's 3 1/2!)

I chat with my BFF daily via text or skype or on the phone, and I have another friend that I go for walks with ever week or so. Actual social events happen every 6-8 weeks maybe?

I constantly feel like friends are annoyed with me for not being around enough. I'm the only one in my circle who's married with a LO...

I've always tried very hard to maintain my relationships with my friends by reaching out, making plans, seeing them as often as I can...but that has been dwindling down as I've noticed that the desire to hang out is really one-sided and if I don't make the plans, I never see anyone. So, I've scaled back significantly and only spend time with the friends where we mutually seek each other out. It is WAY easier! I hope to continue to see those friends as we begin our lives as parents, but things will obviously change a bit.

yes, but the friends we see most often are friends that have kids that are the same age as lil' CB. we were friends before kids with one of the couples we see regularly (we have standing thursday night dinner!) have become much closer post-kids (our children are betrothed to one another). the other family is another adoptive family that we have become very close with and our boys are best buddies now!
sadly, i don't see my single friends as often anymore.

I don't but I really need to. I do hang out a lot with my sister and DH and I together hang out with her and her boyfriend. Shes my best friend so I think that counts!

I wish We live kinda far from most of our friends, so we probably see them like once a month or so? Plus I feel like we're all so busy now, it's hard to find the time to get together... I get jealous of people who can hang out 24/7! Where do they find the time/energy to do so?

Not much. Friends at work and some socializing outside. It is hard to find time. We have been here for two years but still don't have the strongest network.

I see my close friends about once a week over dinner. My not so close friends, we see each other whenever, usually at parties (birthdays, weddings, etc.), but we pick up where we left off and its as if we see other more frequently. My close long distant friends, I keep in contact via text or email on daily basis.

I get dinners/lunches with friends sporadically throughout the month. DH hangs out with his BFF a few times. And we both hang out with my bff and her hubby (our best "couple" friends) at least once a week since they live down the street~ (they're also expecting) so i assume our schedule will stay the same~

We don't have kids yet, and we hang out with friends a couple of times a week. We live in a small town, so all our friends are super close. Most of them are our neighbours (next door, and 2 houses down). So we easily can get together for a glass of wine, watch TV, etc.

Not very often. Life is busy! We are "social" a few times a month. However, I meet up with my best friend a few times per month for lunch, so I didn't count that.

No. I stayed in my hometown and my friends have since left for bigger and better places. Plus no one wants to hang out with a married mommy. I need to make a bigger effort on my part to at least keep in touch.

Once a week or every other week if I am not too busy. It keeps me sane since I WAH and do not have any other social interaction!

I don't see them that often, and I don't even have LOs, which is depressing. My closest friends live all over (LA, Colorado, Chicago, Missouri...) so I don't get to see them much (I live in Indiana).
I have made 2-3 pretty good grad school friends, and I see them almost every day (because we have class together), but will do things socially every couple weeks or so.
DH doesn't really like to go out that much, and is a pretty solitary guy, so we spend most nights at home watching the discovery channel, lol.

Not as much as I would like to. I don't have a lot of other friends with kids so it's been real struggle sometimes to get them to understand a) I have no free time and b) the free time I do have I want to spend wisely. I really value my female friendships so I've been trying to figure out how to still hang out with them when I can but my son always takes priority!
