If your LO goes without a night waking, do you still wake up for some reason?
9 times out of 10, I do. Whether it is my husband snoring, having to pee, being hot, whatever. So annoying!

Usually yes. However, my in-laws just bought a new bed for their guest room, and I sleep like a ROCK in that bed. So, now my answer is "I would STTN, if we could just buy a new mattress"

If LO does, I usually do. But if she woke up the previous nights it sort of messes up my internal clock (since she tends to wake up at the same time, 4am.)

I only wake up briefly. Sometimes I check to hear DD breathing from the video monitor. Then I roll over and go back to sleep.

I have a bad cold and so last night my hsuband slept in the guest room and I slept like a ROCK. It was amazing.

@winniebee: Sometimes I consider kicking hubs to the guest room. We are swaddle weaning and last night she was doing pretty well with one arm out. But she woke up to eat at 3 and she had almost completely fallen asleep at the breast and then my husband snored SOO loudly and startled her awake. I kicked him. Hard. : )

I think I've slept through the night about once! DS is rarely up, but I almost always have to pee at least once, and then I hear DH snoring.
@winniebee: Hilarious that you slept like a rock when you were alone, b/c that was the story in our house last week too!

Ugh, no. I'm a light sleeper and everything wakes me up...It's so annoying!

Yep! I've been STTN for the last.. month and a half.

Nope! For the last month or so I have been waking up to go to the toilet during the night.

I was always a pretty heavy sleeper before I got pregnant. I haven't STTN since I got pregnant. LO is 5.5 months old!

@2PeasinaPod: I am right there with you. I haven't STTN since 16 weeks (LO is 6 months).

No, I've been waking up to pee and I haven't been sleeping well. I toss and turn all night. It also doesn't help that DH wakes up around 4:30 every morning.

I haven't STTN in about 14 months! Couldn't imagine what that would be like!

even when R slept for 7 hours a couple times in the last two weeks, i still woke up twice. haven't slept through the night since before i found out i was pregnant... so almost 11 months?

No I'm always up to pee, wonder why LO hasn't woken up or because I am uncomfortable.
nectarine / 2217 posts
YES! until i got pregnant again and now it's back to the frequent night pee's ... sigh

I don't have a LO yet but no, I never STTN. I wake up about four or five times every night. I have never been able to deeply sleep in my entire life and every little thing wakes me up.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
No, I always wake up. Either DH will come to bed late, or the dogs will bark, or Pedro (chihuhua) will want under the covers so he'll wake me up.

Never, and I don't even have kids! I can't remember a single time in my whole life that I STTN, including when I was a kid. I actually didn't even know that other people slept through the entire night until probably high school! I'm just a really light sleeper and I think I might have slight insomnia...

Not since I got married. Wagon Sr. is a very active sleeper and he's constantly waking me up. Sometimes when I'm really sick he'll sleep elsewhere so I can get a good night's sleep and it is AWESOME. I sleep so well.

@mrs. wagon: DH is a restless sleeper. Always rolling around. I moved the recliner upstairs into the bedroom so that HE could be more comfortable & get better sleep...that back fired cause he has only used the damn thing ONCE!

These days I do but when I was weaning I woke up at 2 am every night out of habit even though I no longer needed to pump! It was so annoying.

@Sugar.Biscuit: I'm ALWAYS half-joking about getting twin beds for our room. Putting his on wheels so the first time I wake up because of him I can push him across the room!
cantaloupe / 6800 posts
No, never.
My mom used to joke that she could turn off a light switch downstairs and I would hear it in my room upstairs w/ the door shut and wake up. What's sad is that it's true. I'm a verrrryy light sleeper, and I flip and toss and turn all night so I'm probably miserable to sleep with. I tell DH I'm gonna sell our king bed and get two twins instead like they did back on old TV shows haha
