I don't and I just drive. I definitely miss taking BART to work when I worked in San Francisco.

I don't. If there was a subway system here then I would use it to go downton. But there isn't.

We take the BART whenever we go into SF, but that's only a few times a year. Other than that, we live in the East Bay and we drive everywhere.

No, we don't really live in an area that has public transportation. We just drive.

Yes and UGH. I take the bus to and from work every day, it's about 45 minutes. I hate it.

Mixed bag... both DH and I can walk to work. Most of the time when socializing, I either take the El or a cab. Occasionally, I use our car for big grocery trips. Other than that, we just drive when we leave town.

I take transit all the time. I can't handle trying to find parking downtown and we live a stones throw from the subway so it's just easier to hop on a train.

I took a bus and metro when I was working. I haven't even been on the metro since August of last year!

I've never owned a car. With the exception of grad school, I've only lived long term in places with major public transport systems. I live within blocks to one of the largest subways stations in New York and buses are everywhere, so that's how I get around.

Yup unless I have to go somewhere after work or leave work early. I get to and from work faster if I take public transportation than if I drive (40min vs 1.5-2 hours).

I don't have the option to! I would if I could though. I rode in a taxi twice in Vegas if that counts?

I take the subway pretty much every where. Driving in NYC is horrible.

I live in a car centric commuter city so no.. But when I lived on the east coast I did and loved it. Now I don't know how I would do it with 2 kids though with strollers and all.. I guess you just learn how to do it!

Not since LO was born, but we only have buses here and they are super unsafe so I can't go with LO and I never have any reason to go by myself.

Yes, but only to work. Our city isn't really very pedestrian-friendly. I hate urban sprawl!

I've never taken public transportation. It's a really popular form of transportation here but this is the first place I've lived where that is the case.

Yes, I love taking public transport! Fortunately, in Brisbane we have a pretty good system - including the Citycats, which are catamarans that travel along the winding Brisbane River, stopping at various suburbs (neighbourhoods) on its way into the city (downtown). Travelling to work with the sun on your face and the wind in your hair whilst taking in the scenery of beautiful Brisbane is a pretty good way to start your day!
I also loved taking public transport when I was living in London - life is so much simpler when you don't have to worry about a car! Perfect opportunity to read, nap, or get some work done without the stress of traffic or road conditions!

Not these days in CA, but DH still does He's a totally city boy. We did all the time in NYC since we had no car. Loved it!

yes, we don't have a car....subways are so much faster in NYC than driving a car around.
