I'm trying to convince DH to take a week off this summer with me so we can just stay home and get some projects done around the house. I want to start setting up E's big girl bedroom which will involve some furniture construction and we have big plans to do work in the backyard. I would rather take a few days off and get it all done than spread it out over weekends.
Do you staycation? Do you take it easy or get things done?

I love the "staycation"! I wish we could do one this year for the same reason - to get stuff done around the house. I'd love to finish the backyard and put up a play structure for the kids ...

We do but we go stay at a hotel on the beach. My mom just gifted me a hotel night for my birthday and said shed babysit so we have to do that soon.

We do staycations but we don't use it to get stuff done. We actually take a few days, go out to dinner every night, go to movies, do things we have been wanting to do. We actually decided against a trip this year with DD and are doing a staycation at my inlaws while they are away. They have a pool, a much bigger house than us, everything we need for DD, and my parents 1/2 hour away to babysit when we want to go out just the 2 of us!

When I had my d&c DH took two days off with me. We got some work done and also lounged around some which was nice.
