I do, but mostly because I work with children for a living so if I am running a fever I stay home for the day since that is when you typically are the most contagious. I don't want to get my kiddos sick!

@autumnlove: I use an aural thermometer. I feel like the ear one gives me the best accuracy because I know my baseline on that thermometer and I know how it reads!

not usually. i know when i am running a fever, i feel achy and cold all over so i don't need a thermometer to tell me. the other day i did because i was having some stomach problems and was nervous that might have one of those scary diseases they talk about pregnant women getting.

No, but I take my husband's, because he always complains that he has a fever...so one time I tested him...no fever!

Only if I feel extremely ill so I know if I need to take a fever reducer to help my body heal.

Yes, I finally broke down and bought one when I was feeling horrible (pregnant.) I wanted to keep an eye on it in case I needed to call my doctor with a high fever.

I do. I hardly ever run a fever... and I have a low temp anyway (usually around 97.8) so I know if I have a high fever it's time to see the doc ASAP.
