How do you make it through the day?
Today is the longest.day.ever.
I'm sick, L is sick, DH is working and won't be home for a few hours and then has to go out again tonight and I'm solo parenting all night.
I feel like death and L isn't taking good naps. 
He keeps coughing and waking himself up and I'm ready to jump off a bridge! LOL It's a crazy blizzard outside and I can't even get us out of the house.
waaaaaaah. Someone commiserate please or just tell me it will get better. haha

I'm sorry you're not feeling well, I know it can be rough. I had a terrible migraine the other day and it was so hard to get through the day. Luckily, M took a nap and let me rest for a bit in the afternoon, but it is challenging. If she hadn't napped I was going to have to put her in the PnP for about 30 min just so I could take a break. Feel better!

Oh gosh, poor baby, poor mama! I wish I lived nearby so I could give you a rest break
E and I haven't been sick at the same time, but I got really really sick about this time last year, when D was out of town for almost 2 weeks. My ILs were also sick, so they couldn't help at all.
Honestly, I could barely pick myself up off the couch. E watched a lot of TV that week, and it's been the same when he's been sick. Lots of cuddling, lots of TV, getting through each hour a victory.
I hope you both feel better ASAP!

@.twist.: it's the WORST so sorry!
I usually confine us to a room and let him go wild with his toys, iPad, movies, whatever gets us by.

It is miserable and I don't even have good tips on how to get through it! I think I lie down on the floor and let the kids play near me. 
I also ignore dishes and we eat sandwiches and other simple stuff.

I am so, so sorry. This was us Sunday-Tuesday. DH works really long days those days, and we were both wicked sick. We nursed a lot and watched Baby Einstein, and I napped with her on my chest whenever I could.
I also called my mom for help a few times. Do you have anyone nearby?

@redsmarties: hehe, we've had the tv on all day. Both sets of parents are nearby. My parents are just moving into a new house and have so much to do already and my IL's I guess I could call... Not sure what they're up to today. 
@rachiecakes: do you know of any way to lock the ipad so they cant change screens? L always manages to change apps because he uses his whole hand to touch.
@autumnlove: The dog can watch the baby, right? That's safe? Only for like 10 mins while I nap!? haha

Ugh, that sucks. LO and I were both sick last month. Pretty much we laid in bed together and every time she got upset I shoved a boob in her mouth.

Ugh that has been me this week. DH has been working really late and it's been miserable. Honestly....screentime. Elliot has watched way too much Daniel Tiger this week. Monday we laid on the couch together and watched Cars and Charlotte's Web lol. It gives him rest and I don't feel the need to be "on."

@.twist.: yes! there is a way - I don't have my iPad with my at work, but you can set a passcode in 'Restrictions' that locks one app/screen, you have to double-click the home button and enter passcode to unlock.

I'm so sorry. I know it's awful.
In February I was incredibly sick with norovirus, and ended up in the emergency room twice for fluids because I was so dehydrated. I was nursing DD2, DD1 ended up getting Noro too, and my husband was on the other side of the coast for a leisure trip. All of my family was out of town. It literally was the hardest week of my life.
