Sometimes I get very teary when I think of him, how much he has grown, how happy he is, how special he is to me, and the fact that his birthday is just around the corner. I don't know if it's happy or sad, or what. Gah, tearing up again!

Yes. Totally there with you. I have to be careful, though. I'm already stuffy from my cold so I can't add being sad/happy/sappy to that right now!!

YES! And for so many of the reasons you mentioned . . . how happy she has made me, how much I love her, how much she has grown, how much I want her to grow but also to stay small, how scared I am about being able to do it all, how much I don't want to fail her, how much I love my new family . . .

Yes. I cried when I dropped him off at daycare today and I haven't done that in months. He turns 9 months tomorrow so I was thinking back to when he was first born. Dang it, I'm about to cry again.

@MsLipGloss: I won't even waste my energy trying to explain - you explained how I feel exactly!
I love her and she is just AWESOME. I came home from work yesterday and she was sleeping and I teared up just watching her sleep after missing her all day. Plus I was super bummed she wasn't awake for me to inhale her and get tons of chubby baby snuggles.

Yes! I just had a cryfest last night because of mommy guilt. She has been learning so many new things that I feel like I am missing out by working. I know we need me to work to keep our family in the lifestyle we want, but I had missing stuff and only have a couple hours of awake time a day with her. And I get teary when I look back at pictures of her in the hospital/NICU, and first few weeks at home.

I get teary just imagining him being here, and I still have 18 weeks to go. I'm sure I'll be very emotional once he is actually here!
@Sugar.Biscuit: I think the same thing when we're in church, so I say totally normal

Yes, definitely. Sometimes it's a little bit overwhelming how much I love this kid.

Omg totally. I spend my evenings watching old videos of her and feeling sad that she's growing up so quickly
she makes my heart ache...

Absolutely! I watch videos of LO while I pump at work and cry! I have so much mommy guilt right now and he is just changing soooo quickly (5 months tomorrow)

I do and she isn't here yet. Every time I think about seeing her for the first time, holding her, seeing DH hold her, etc. I get tears.

@Pepper: @Sugar.Biscuit: when I'm in church... I always kind if wish they'll page me out of the service because I love being "needed" by him
Yes!! I cried on his birthday- both happy and sad! Sometimes when I'm telling someone how much I love him, I start crying. I never knew I could feel like this toward another human.
