I am thrown off when it is white and natural. I think it stems from childhood and we always had the minty green one!

Yes and I don't even like mint chocolate chip so I shouldn't care

I like white mint chocolate chip!
edit: I'm actually not a mint chocolate chip fan, but my DH likes it and he only eats the white kind!

Yes! It is my absolute favorite but it has to be green. I'm always disappointed when I get a cone somewhere and it's white.

I have a weird thing about food coloring and will only eat white mint chip.

Yes! And I only eat green pistachio ice cream too! The white version just doesn't seem right.

It was my favorite ice cream before I stopped eating chocolate. No matter what color.

No way. Breyers is the only mint chocolate chip that's worth eating and it's white.

Hmm, green-white doesn't matter to me. I just want it delicious

The only white mint-chip I"ve seen has been at Christmas, with candy cane pieces! So yes, it should definitely be green!

No. I make my own and it turns out slightly yellowish (from the egg). I am not a fan of food coloring (especially since Ellie has a dye sensitivity), and the real mint flavor is to die for! Anyone who thinks it needs to be green should come over some time and try some of mine.

Mmmmm yes green. I just sat down with a big bowl of green mint chocolate chip ice cream, opened up HB and this is the first thread I saw. Haha!

I avoid artificial coloring on everything but mint chocolate chip ice cream. Give me the green stuff!

I'm anti food coloring for everything BUT mint choc chip ice cream. It just isn't right unless it's green.

Yes and no. The green helps you know the flavor without any other cues, but natural white seems better for you. Either way, while I am not an ice cream fan, mint chocolate chip was always a favorite!

I can appreciate both, but feel like they taste slightly different from each other. I absolutely cannot get enough of candy cane ice cream, though - with green *and* red candy cane chunks.

It's so hard to find white, but I enjoy it so much more (maybe a mental thing since there is no artificial coloring).
