Within 2-4 weeks of returning from Mat Leave there is a week-long, half across the country meeting?
In general, I wonder if nursing moms or moms of small children receive different workplace treatment than non-nursing moms/ moms of older children/ women without kids. Is it fair to request these accomodations?
A friend of mine once told me that her small company hosted a meeting where the topic of vacations came up because everyone wanted time off, but that just wasn't feasible. One of the mom co-workers said aloud she assumed she would get priority on holiday time off because she has kids.
FYI- this particular situation isn't me b/c I will be on the front end of my Mat Leave when this meeting takes place.
