DS is way smarter than I was at his age. I can't tell with DD yet since she's only 5 months old but she already seems bright.

I hope LO will be smarter than me! I had to work REALLY hard to do well in school and only finished my 2-year degree. I hope it is easier for him.

I think so! Sometimes I think she's too smart for her own good!

I want her to be smart enough but have more common sense for sure! I actually have a pretty high IQ, which I don't ever mention to anyone because I'll be automatically judged 1) why am I "wasting" it 2) question it because I'm not the brainiac type. I want her to be normal and not feel undue pressure about any unusual qualities she might have.

I hope he or she is differently smart than me. I'm a pretty smart person and did very well in school without trying very hard. But my problem is that often I tend to just "get" stuff. Particularly in math and science class... I could always get the right answer but I had a very hard time showing my work or being able to explain to someone else how to solve the problem. It leads to me being very impatient that other people don't just "get" it too and I find that's not a very good quality once you are in the work place!! My husband is much better at reasoning, and problem solving, and teaching people things. I give up on things that I can't figure out really quickly. Where he has the patience to spend all day figuring out how to do something perfectly. I hope baby gets that trait from him!
