Ugh. I accidentally went down the main toy aisle at Target the other day. Shoot me. Instant tantrum when I wouldn't let my 3 year old get out and play. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

We actually make a point to go down them, it's how I get through the rest of my shopping… By promising her she can look at the toys! She know she can't get anything, though, so it works

All the time! Otherwise it's "oooh I want that" and "mommy I need this!" Lately I've been able to say "we will have to tell Santa" but it's only going to work so long.

No, we make it a point to go and see things quickly and not buy! Or, buy something for someone else. DD does very well with it. DS (19 mo) sometimes gets upset when we make him leave whatever he's holding in the aisle, but he'll learn!

No, we always go by the aisle! DS plays for a minute, I enjoy my cup of coffee... He's usually good about leaving.

We look but she doesn't pester me for anything, which is good. She knows we're just looking.

We always go down! I let her play for a bit, and then she puts the toys back with their toy friends. I like to do it because I am always on the look-out for new things that she's interested in. I buy almost everything used after she's expressed an interest in it.

we usually go down the toy aisle last so they can play for awhile. our oldest is good about leaving. she'll most definitely ask us to buy her toys but we'll tell her she has to wait til her bday or christmas and she'll put it back without a fight. hopefully it stays this way!

Oh yeah. In fact, one of my son's first real tantrums last year was in the Target toy aisle! #lesson learned #proud parent
But yesterday, I thought I was a safe distance away from the toys, but DS somehow managed to recognize the Play Doh logo and have a fit anyway, so that was fun.

I've taught them that we just look so it's ok to go down it!
