I ask because we had a thread recently about teflon and I've been trying to switch to stainless steel now but what about my rice cooker, it also had a black coating inside it. is that teflon too?
Do you use a rice cooker and if so does it have teflon? Are you worried about it

I have a Zojirushi rice cooker, I have no idea if there is Teflon in it but I'm not too concerned.

Can't live without a rice cooker. Ours is non-stick but I don't really worry about it since we only use the plastic paddle thingy to scoop so it never scratches.

I have a Japanese rice cooker (not the Zojirushi), so no idea what material the bowl is made from.

We can't live without our rice cooker either! But the inside black coating is a bit scratched, even though we use a plastic rice paddle. Maybe I should be concerned??

I looooove my rice cooker! It's a pressure cooker, a rice cooker, a slow cooker. It is nonstick, but I think most concerns with nonstick are when it's heated to high temps or it gets worn, but since neither of those things are taking place, I don't worry too much about it.

I cook rice in a regular stainless steel pot, but I want a rice cooker. I need to find one that's not nonstick though.

We do have a Zojirushi as well and I love it. We always had one growing up (I used to call it the elephant cooker!) I don't even know how to cook rice without one..
Our bowl in the Zoj is SS though, so I'm not worried about it.

YES I love my rice cooker. It has a non-stick interior. It looks fine, though.

Zojirushi here as well. I'm Asian I can't live my life w/o a rice cooker.
