nope but is it sad that we're considering getting one just for LO to use in the future?

I have an ipad 1 which is rarely used these days. My Samsung galaxy is so much faster...

@Boopers: we have an iPad but I want to get an iPad mini for myself. I want to take one with me to work and want to be able to read books on it. Plus often DH and I are both watching tv and want to be surfing the net too, and I'm sick of reading things on my phone. Do you recommend the mini? Why did you pick mini over the regular iPad?

iPad. I swore I would never get one... I didn't even have a laptop beforehand, but my family bought it when I travelled a lot last year and I can't live without it now!

iPad. It was my push present. I love it. Before my maternity leave, I would have never wanted one or found it so useful. Now, I can't imagine being without it.

Between DH and I, we have 4 tablets (totally excessive, I know). We each have an iPad then he has a Nexus 7 and a Nexus 10.

@delight: DH and I each got one for Christmas. We chose them for a few reasons.
1. Price. We knew we wanted an iPad and when they were released and had a price of $329 we knew we could afford it and justify that cost over the $500 price tag for a new ipad. I know there are cheaper tablets that are the same size and do the same thing but we wanted to have all the apps and what not.
2. I have an iPhone and I enjoy having all the apps on it so I could easily just transfer them to my ipad.
3. Size. I use an iPad 2 for work and its big and heavy compared to the mini. I like the portability of it and I can easily hold it in bed while laying down without any problems. It's easier than my phone to navigate and it's not as bulky as the ipad2.
For me the iPad mini was a no brainier and I love it!!
I know I wrote a novel, but I hope this helps!!

@delight: I got an iPad 2 and I love it and its great for LO to use. But for some of the reasons @Boopers: mentioned, I do wish I had a mini. I think the mini also has a better camera than the iPad 2 and I think laying in bed would be easier with a mini.
But it is nice to have a small iPhone and a larger iPad. I am just glad I got DH a Nook Tablet ($100 used) so he isn't always stealing my stuff!

@PurplePumps: haha me too! I love my nexus 7, dh jokes I love it more than I love him!
@mrs. wagon: what exactly is that? Like when you move your hand around the keypad to type words? I've never tried it, but I guess I should!

I have a kindle fire I use once in a while. DS has more apps on it than I do, lol.

I think I have the iPad 4.... Hubby swore he didn't want one. I didn't care but thought he'd like one. He finally got one. And now, we have 2.... One of those things I never thought I'd use and now I always have it with me....

@Boopers: thanks for that great response! Exactly what I was looking for. I agree that I think I'd like the portability of the mini. I just think once our LO is here it will be easier to hold a mini in one hand during BF. I have a lot of apps on my phone that I use already for work as a speech therapist, but my phone just seems way to small so I'd love to have a mini for work. Thanks for your input!!
@T.H.O.U.: thanks to you too! I didn't even realize the mini has a better camera!! I love our iPad2 but I just would love to have something a little smaller for lying in bed or carrying around in my purse. I'm itching to get a mini now. I was going to wait until summer but I might have to splurge sooner!

We have an original iPad (wedding gift to DH when it first came out) and an iPad mini. DH bought at least 5 tablets within a year and returned/sold them. Glad he found what he needed in the mini. I couldn't stand the constant tablet purchases every other month.

Hubby has an iPad that he uses fairly often. I only use it to play games when I'm bored at home.

DH got me a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 LTE. Only thing I really do with it is get online. I should really learn how to use it more lol

@tequiero21: We are sort of the opposite! When I got the ipad 3, DH got my old one but swore he had no use for it. I never used either and still haven't used mine more than a couple times. But now he takes his to work with him every day to read on the train!

@spaniellove: one thing i LOVE doing on it is watching tv. i love how you download the apps and watch tv and it saves where you left off (doesn't do that directly on the site).... i can even access optimum cable! so on demand, i don't have to go downstairs (i never go there to watch tv, i'm usually by my computer), so it's nice to watch tv on my ipad. i also do all my email, facebook, hellobee. i also have baby connect and put all my kids' info. i love using it while i'm breastfeeding the kids. love all the cool apps. all in all, LOVE it!

Nope! I have a Macbook Air and I love it! It's nearly as light as an iPad but I love that it has a real keyboard. I don't really like the onscreen virtual keyboards.

Eeek! Just bought my iPad mini. This thread encouraged me to take the plunge! Can't wait to use the bee on the iPad!
