Yes, I did, but I want to help support HB so I just made an exception for this site only.

Nope. I don't normally click on them but I don't mind scrolling get past. You university know, I may see a good deal I want someday!

I didn't know I could. But they don't bother me so I won't.

No, I want to support HB, too!! Plus the ads do not bother me since they aren't in my face and don't prevent me from navigating the site. If it were one of those videos that you have to watch, then I wouldn't like that!

I do on my laptop (only because it's on by default and I don't know how to change it), but not my iPad.

@mrbee: i've never seen that site before! The LMGTFY, not the ad-blocking one. I'm so doing that to work-people today!

I don't know how to block ads but I don't know that I would do it anyway. I'm not really bothered by ads on the websites that I visit.

@mrbee: Looks like only a small handful of users use an ad blocker.

I can't stand ads. I love ad block. Sorry, Mr. Bee! At least it looks like I'm in the minority.

@Minnie_Girl: What about small family-run websites like Hellobee that depend on ad revenue to support themselves?

I have a general ad-blocker, so I didn't realize HB had pop-ups.
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
@mrsjyw: Hellobee doesn't have popups! Ad blockers block normal ads that you might otherwise see.

I don't mind the ads, like @andrea said, they're not those annoying videos.
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
@Minnie_Girl: I guess I have trouble understanding.
We work really hard to make sure that our ads are respectful and not flashy, and that the entire website loads before the ad even starts to load! It really depresses me that despite all that, people block our ads.

@mrbee: It's nothing against you or the way you execute the site; I simply can't stand ads, regardless of how polite they are. Personal preference. I prefer browsing without the shopping temptation.
My husband runs a few ad revenue-based websites so I understand how important it is. Don't feel bad! It's tough enough being admin without worrying about stubborn users like me.

No, the ads actually help me learn about new products! There was one I clicked for g diapers that are flushable inserts for cloth diapers that was really interesting so I bookmarked it for later when we are ttc. I don't get any pop-ups, I just see them on the side, and click things that seem interesting to me or don't click them if they don't.

I actually like the ads (on Hellobee)...I get introduced to things I might not have known about.

Didn't know how, but I'm happy to help you guys by keeping them there!

I don't block the ads, I just sort of tune them out. Sorry Mr Bee!

When I am on the laptop I don't block them. But I am usually on my phone so I don't see them anyway.

I actually didn't know you could block ads, but I wouldn't because I know it helps websites generate revenue. I would like to support HB in any way I can because it helps keep me same! Haha

Do you mean the google ads that appear in between the question and answers on the threads?
I don't even click on them, do they generate revenue just because they allow you to show them or what? I am clueless at this, which is sad!
