Either choice and I'm betraying half my genes (I'm half Japanese)... but I had to choose, so I picked Western smileys.

I never knew this -_- referred to Asian smiley. I use Western.

Western! I can't stand Asian smileys or IM thingies (every Korean girl I know types "~!" at the end of their sentences. Like, "I am so happy~!").

I used Asian smileys until I was on facebook - not enough people on there knew what they were, so I went to western ones.

I used to always use Asian smileys but got conscious since my close friends didn't understand them. I've conformed and almost exclusively use Western smileys now =P
