We have them around the house. My kids like to use them for music. My older child uses it for timers and alarms.

Google home here! For sure. We have one in the kitchen, one in my room, and one in my 8 yo's room. We use them for music, timers, jokes, news. So many things. I want other pieces to go with it (lights, tv, etc) but maybe when I have my own home and not an apartment.

Alexa home. I love the shopping list capability and love that I can add stuff to the list all over the house as we have it integrated with sonos and a few smaller echo dots throughout our home.
Use it a ton for timers, to control our sonos, to control our Lutron lights. We like tech in our house lol

No, my husband refuses to have one of those in our house.... My kids would like one I think, especially for music.

We have a Sonos system which has Alexa but I keep is mostly disabled. It creates too much of a headache otherwise.

so we are a google home (even have google nest security thing that they discontinued). We have multiple (one in each room...). My kids love them. We have a smart display (my son likes to watch youtube video on it) .We control lights (I don't like that: hate to say turn it on to full brightness!). If I can't find the remote for the TV, I will talk to it. I think it is as good as the services you pay for. my husband has youtube music so it integrates well....

We have several Alexas and are almost done with switching out our lights for smart lights. So far I'm loving just shouting out "turn off all the lights upstairs" as I walk downstairs. Otherwise I use them for music and news. My kids love to ask her just about anything they can think of. This morning was "how big are velociraptors?"

Nope. We have been trying to lower our EMF to the minimum- figured out that we sleep much better when devices are off.

We have several Alexas. Mostly used for music and shopping lists. E sets timers and asks the time and the weather like 8 million times a day too. Oh... and for smart lights.

We have one echo and I ordered two echo dots on prime day. We use it for music and podcasts the most, but also for timers, alarms, and making lists. Looking to get a few smart bulbs to link up with them as well.
Any one have a smart bulb they recommend? Hoping for ones that don't require a hub.

We have a couple echo dots that we use for music or timers....but I LOVE having it in the kitchen to make lists. I spend 90% of my time in the kitchen and I love that I can just rattle off what we need as I think of it rather than write it down or type it into my phone. It's worth it just for that.

Nope. I practiced cyberspace law for a few years in Europe and had my eyes opened. So I decided the less digital footprint my family and I have - the better. So DH and I also decided against those devices even while recognizing how convenient they are.

Yes we use Alexa, recognizing that it’s always listening... but so are our phones. So we figure we aren’t giving up the phones, may as well have the convenience of Alexa
