I love cooking with my hands, but hate getting my hands dirty.
Loooove my disposable gloves.
Making some kimchee pancakes and just used these to keep my hands stink free!

I couldn't agree with you more! I hate, hate, hate touching chicken. It really skeeves me out hardcore. I used to wear them often, but stopped awhile ago.

hahaha that never even occurred to me. I don't. But I am CRAZY about cleaning up after handling raw meat.

yes! I use them every time it's going to be messy or when I'm handling raw meat.
I bought the wrong kind the last time and we ended up with elbow length ones... haha! My dad was cooking and looked so funny in them.

Only when I am dealing with hot chiles. I have burnt my hands way too many times from the oils in the chiles.

Only when I'm taking cooked chicken off the bone for chicken soup or my mom's jerked chicken recipe. Or when I handle kimchi but I ran out of that months ago

I use gloves when I'm making meatloaf or peeling squash. Does anyone else get "squash hands"? I get a crazy rash on my hands if I don't wear gloves when handling squash.

Hm, never occurred to me! But I find touching meat icky too, so not a bad idea. Do they sell those plastic gloves at regular grocery stores, or just Asian grocery stores? I just see the latex gloves at regular stores and don't think I would want to cook with those, haha!

@oliviaoblivia: my hands get all dry when I peel and cut squash.
No on gloves for me though, it never even occured to me. We don't eat a ton so spicy stuff though.

@mrs. wagon: I've bought the elbow length ones before. Omg they're intense! And thicker too

I don't but that's a good idea. I hate touching raw meat. Does they get in the way? I don't wear gloves washing dishes either. I like feeling whether the dishes are clean or not.

Yes I LOOOOOOVE those! They are a life saver with my sensory issues! In fact I actually recommend these to other autistic adults with similar touch aversions. I would never be able to handle cold or wet food (like meat) if it wasn't for these!

@BoogieBea: The gloves are big and it's definitely easier to just grab things with my bare hands, but I've gotten used to using them.

@sweetchic: they sell them at the korean market for sure!
i use them when i make meatballs, dress salads, but not for cutting meat though that's a good idea....

I use them when I'm processing hot chiles or handling cooked beets. But my husband sells scientific supplies so we always have a ton of free rubber gloves on hand.

I never have, I just clean like crazy (my hands, knives, and cutting boards) when I am cooking. We also have rules about what gets prepped where in the kitchen (raw meat gets cut - on a cutting board - to the left of the stove, cooked food goes to the right of the stove etc)

I need to actually buy more of these. I don't think I have ever seen these except in Korean or Japanese grocery stores. But I find them hard to maneuver sometimes...

I don't. My mil does when she's working with raw chicken.
