Did you use it before you became a mother? Which one do you use?
I used to be able to go days w/o washing my hair and now I have to wash it every day. I know when this baby comes, that won't always be an option.

I got a free sample so I've used it a few times but I haven't noticed a difference in my hair.

I do sometimes! I use this: http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod4141853
It's the best one I have tried. And, I don't have kids!

I use it. It saves me in the morning and really reduces my time to get ready. I started with Oscar Blandi but recently bought the new Dove dry shampoo, and it's not bad at all.

Used it the first month post partum since I wasn't allowed to wet my hair. I used the tresemme one. I haven't tried other ones though.

@T-Mom: I also started with OB and now use Dove! I also use mine at night before bed which makes the dry shampoo work even better . . . preventative versus restorative.

@MsLipGloss: oh, great tip! I never really thought to do that, I'll have to try it out.
I was amazed by how many drugstore brand options there are now. I think I saw at least 4 brands at Target when I ran out of my Oscar Blandi. Suave, Tresseme, Dove, and at least one more. It was overwhelming!

i tried the sauve one and did not see a difference. I know people swear by Pssst but I never tired it.

The suave one is terrible... I also did not like the Tresseme one either... both seemed to either not work or made things worse! I use Dove & really love it! I've also used a couple more expensive brands but I prefer the Dove for cost & b/c I can get it when getting groceries instead of ordering or going somewhere else!

I use it before baby. Treseme or bumble and bumble depending on how much I want to spend.

I've only ever tried Tresemme. I found a travel-sized bottle at Target for for $2! I find that it doesn't really work though. I'll try Dove next thanks to the recommendations from this thread!

I've tried Dove, Psst, and Tresseme. Dove is the best, but the smell is SO overwhelming!

I never knew it existed before baby! I guess I was living under a rock or something. Right after I had him, my hormones went wacko I guess and my hair was so oily! I would wash it and dry it.... and it would just be gross! My hairstylist told me to stop using conditioner for a while and to start using dry shampoo after I shampooed and dried my hair. Of course she "hooked me up" with an expensive brand from the salon that I don't remember, but then I bought the Suave to try. It worked fine for me, but I think I'll try the Dove next time since so many people are saying they like it. Thankfully, 7 months PP my hair is almost back to normal.... well except the shedding... and the baby hair... but hey! At least it's not oily!

i use oscar biandi. one time when i ran out of it, i used cornstarch for a while (just pinched a little and rubbed it on my scalp in various places).

I love dry shampoo because i like for my hair to feel kind of dry and dirty. I don't think my hair has enough texture when it is clean (I like it to look beachy and touseled and kind of frizzy), so I only wash my hair once a week. Sometimes less often!
My favorite product is called Dry, by Oribe.
I also like Batiste dry shampoo. But I haven't used it since I found the Oribe stuff.

Nope. Every one ive teied turns my hair weirdly gray. Not cute! Id rather just sport a ponytail.

Yep! I use Dove. Only way I can skip a day of washing my hair.

I've been using dry shampoo for a couple of years. It gives GREAT texture for updos, and soaks up oil great. I used to use Psssst, which is ok. I make my own now with equal parts cornstarch and cocoa powder, although I don't need it as much as I used to. I stopped washing my hair with shampoo and use the "no poo" method, and now I only have to wash my hair maybe twice a week.

There was a post on here where someone recommended dove, so I got that. I've only used it a couple times but it seems to work ok!

No babies here but I love dry shampoo. I dye my hair red, so any excuse I can get to wash my hair less frequently and make the color last longer is fine by me.
I'm not a fan of Tresseme but I do like TIGI. I may see if I can track down the Dove one since a few of you recommend it.

I am obsessed with Batiste! Gives me the most volume in any dry shampoo I've ever used. I use it a couple times a week

I freaking love this stuff! I use the Batiste one too!! I straighten my hair and cause the heat damages it, I find if I use dry shampoo to stretch out between washes it's not as bad! Also fantastic for when we go camping!

@matador84: ooh I didn't know Biosilk made one... love their other products.

I use it occasionally. I think Dove works really well, but the smell is STRONG. Don't spray in a confined space! Tresemme made my hair sooo greasy, way worse than if I just hadn't washed it.
coconut / 8483 posts
Yep! My hair is super greasy if I don't wash it every day, but using it allows me to go every other day! Glorious!

@MsLipGloss: I use baking soda and apple cider vinegar instead of shampoo and conditioner. Cheap & no chemicals! It takes a while to adjust but I love it now.

I've tried the Tresemme one which was terrible and now have the Oscar Blandi one, and I'm not really liking it either. I have fine hair, so it gets oily fairly quick and there's no change when I use the OB brand. I might try the Dove, now...

I'm blonde, so I can get away with just plain old baby powder. Been using it for years and it works great.
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
I am brunette, would the Dove one work for me? I am hesitant because I don't want a gray tinged look, lol.

@BoogieBea: quick question: why were you not allowed to wet your hair PP?!
I haven't tried dry shampoo but really want to. I looked last year and couldn't seem to find any in Canada. I'll have to look again!
