I used pepper shakers most of my life, but we just bought a pepper mill. Wow, what a difference! Everything is 5-10% more delicious with freshly ground pepper!!

I've grown up using a pepper mill - I didn't even know you could buy ground pepper until I got married.

Pepper mill! Though for convenience, I often buy the ones at Trader Joe's that come prepackaged in their own salt and pepper mills.

We use a pepper mill. It does taste a lot better freshly ground! I read somewhere that the aroma dissipates quite quickly after grinding.

Both- I prefer the mill, but for the kids I use a shaker because otherwise they complain that the big chunks are spicy.

I had trained myself to believe pepper is pepper, but now I want a pepper mill!

Pepper mill!
But I actually have a soft spot of nostalgia for the way shaker pepper tastes, very comforting and old-fashioned

Pepper mill. We don't keep any pre-ground pepper in the house because it would never get used.

Grew up using ground pepper and still use it. Have tried the pepper mill, I wasn't as excited as all of you guys about it.

I used ground pepper growing up and always thought that's what everyone used. Getting fresh ground pepper at restaurants made me want to get a pepper mill but didn't want to buy a pepper mill. I got one of those small bunny ears pepper mills as a wedding gift and that's when I started using a pepper mill. Definitely got me to prefer fresh ground pepper.
I bought one of those inexpensive disposable salt and pepper packs at Costco. I don't want regular iodine salt anymore. I use sea salt now. Well, still use the regular salt when I bake.

I don't think I've ever owned a pepper shaker, so only freshly ground pepper here.
