I used to when my girls were less than one and did occasionally after that up until 2 years old but then I just started giving their age in years. I was just browsing online for swimming classes and one was 0-36 months and embarrassingly enough I had to sit and figure out how many months my oldest was. I had someone tell me their kid was 50 some months once...still haven't done the math on how old that kid is.

I use weeks until 12 weeks, then months until age two.

I do for my infant..I find it weird when people do months over two/2.5 lol. just my opinion
I don't like unnecessary math!

If they have kids I'll say months. If not I'll say 1 1/2. Once she turns 2 I won't do months anymore at all.

When talking to other parents I use months. A male co-worker who has no children asked today how old "the children" are. I just replied "not quite a year & a half." I'll probably stop using months once they're 2.

I was at the park today and asked another mom how old her daughter was and she told me in months. Then someone else without kids asked her and she said one and a half and I thought it was funny.

I used weeks until about 12 weeks. I use months and half months now (he's 6.5 months) and I think I'll continue to use months until he's 18 months. After that, months seems weird to me (although I totally get that it's normal to use them until 2-3 years).

D is 92 months.
But really, after 2 I don't do that.

I say months or almost a month...so right now I consider DD 3 and a half months she will be 4 months on the 17th

After he turned 2 I just say he's 2. DD I use months still.

I use years over two, and say things like "tow and a bit" or "almost two and a half" or "she'll be three in a few months".
The math of months gets tricky for all parties involved! Today a grandma in my daughter's music class told me her granddaughter was 22 months old - judging by size, vocabulary and behavior that didn't seem possible (it's much more likely she was at least 2.5, or 30 months.) Maybe she meant 32?!?

I will stop with months after 2. Although it felt awkward to me to say "13 months" to someone last night who asked. I might say "just turned one" or "almost a year and a half".
DH hates saying months and thinks we should have stopped at 1 year. Lol

it depended who i was talking to. typically with other parents i would use months more often after the first year. with someone who was just asking to be polite or make conversation in passing, i would say he is 2 or prior i might say he is "just over one and a half"...something like that.
since he passed 25 months, i just say he is 2 because unless i think and count, i can't remember how many months he is anymore!

At 16m I'm still using months when people ask. Maybe at 18m I'll start using 1.5 and then almost 2, etc. Saying 1 just seems not descriptive enough. There's just so much change between 12m and 16m and 19m, etc.

I used months up until 18 months and only occasionally after that. Then I just said he would be 2 in September...now he's 2.5.

In real life, I've switched over to saying 1.5 years but here I still use months.

After 2, I just started saying "he's 2." Before that I used months. And now I say 3, even though he's got a few more weeks.
