I am a lot better about using reusable bags these days. I unload my groceries and put the bags back in my car so I can't forget...I used to have huge piles of plastic bags at home!

Yep, for grocery shopping, shlepping things to the cleaners, back and forth to work, etc.

Yes! I love them. I've had a few bags for years and they've held up very well. I've had to reattach a couple of handles, but that was really easy. I use the plastic bags I get when I walk the dog or scoop the litter boxes.

I do for grocery shopping. I like that they hold more so I don't have to make multiple trips to my car to unload groceries.

All the time. I keep a bunch in my car. Although try as I might I can't seem to get rid of the bags full of other plastic bags that come tumbling down on my head every time I open my laundry closet!!

yep. and we're going to have to start paying soon if we don't bring them, so i'm trying to be better!

Yep, we have some awesome ones from Costco from years ago that are huge & hold so many groceries. Costco finally got them again & we bought a couple of sets of them so now we have lots (though they are a tiny bit smaller than the previous ones)

We live in LA county and plastic bags are banned, so if we don't bring reusable bags to the store (even target), we have to pay 10 cents for each paper bag. When we walk to the store, I always remember bags, but sometimes I forget when I drive.

I always do for grocery shopping, but I need to get better about it for other stores. Especially because my town recently passed an ordinance to charge for bags!

@JessKas: Yeah, me too! I need to put them in my stroller basket when I go to the mall!

Yup, my county has banned plastic bags so we have to bring them or be charged 10 cents. I think it is all places except restaurants.

We use grocery bags as all our trash bags, but get more than we use, so I use reusable bags until I need more trash bags again.

We try to, but I'm still terrible about forgetting them at home/in the car. We also have a couple of bins that we use for groceries because we can cram a lot more in them, so less trips back and forth for unloading the car.

Any time we shop I use them. I typically don't forget, but the rare times I do we get paper bags and then use them to store paper to be recycled, or cut them up for projects.

The only problem is I always forget to bring them into the store!!

My county doesn't allow stores to give away bags anymore. So you bring your bags or have to pay for paper bags. I always forget when I'm buying things like clothes. Who remembers to bring their bags to the mall?

I love them! I feel like I can carry so much more that way too. Fewer trips from the car to the house.

Yup! We get charged for using plastic bags so I always make sure I have my reusable bags with me. I like them - much easier to carry and far more efficient for packing groceries (we pack our own groceries here too), especially when I have two little ones in the trolley!

I do, but I always forget to bring them into the store until I'm at the entrance. Usually I'm good with going back to my car to get them, but sometimes I'm lazy.
Shoot! I always have 2 re-usable bags in my purse. I need to remember that.

We have them but I always forget to bring them into the store....
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
yup! I have a ton from the disney store, love the quality. they hold up so well.
pineapple / 12566 posts
Always, I keep them in the stroller. Most stores charge for the thicker plastic bags, but grocery stores usually have the flimsy produce ones available for free.
coconut / 8430 posts
Yes we try to use them because I hate piling up the plastic ones at home!
clementine / 927 posts
We have a few but forget them so much. I have to start putting them back in the car as soon as groceries are unloaded.
