When you bought your breast pump and sterilized the parts did you wash it first before sterilizing? I didnt, I just sterilized it by boiling and then used it. Now I need a new pump because mine just died on me and I'm wondering if i need to wash it first before sterilizing it

I always washed the parts before sterilizing.
Is your pump still under warranty? My pump motor died and they sent a new pump since it was under 1 year.

No... I figure sterilizing > washing on the cleanliness scale, so I don't bother to wash.

@autumnlove: yes it is under a year I was planning to buy a new one and have them refund my money or something from amazon. but now none of the stores in my area even have this pump available.
