I asked Mr. Bee to wash some cucumbers and he asked me why, and I told him I always wash produce before I peel it. Otherwise the pesticide and anything else that's on the peel will get on the flesh when I peel it.
Do you wash produce before peeling?

I peel the cucumber and when I'm done, I rinse the peeled cuke under water.

It depends on what I'm using it for. If I'm peeling a carrot to cook with then I'll peel then wash. If I'm peeling a carrot to eat raw then I'll wash then peel.

I usually peel, wash, cook. I rarely eat raw veggies and if I do, it's non-peel stuff like lettuce or tomatoes. I always wash everything before eating.
