We love watching these races. It's become a tradition in our house. Nothing fancy, we just want to be home to watch it!

We make bets with my dad. All of us kids get to pick a horse, and if we win he pays up

I always watch the derby. Then I usually watch the preakness to see if the same horse wins... if so, then I'll watch the Belmont Stakes to see if the horse gets the Triple Crown. If two different horses win the derby and the preakness I don't watch the belmont stakes.

We don't! We have friends who are up in Kentucky for the derby though!

Oh...random weird fact - we live in a neighborhood where all the street names were named after race horses. One year we were watching the Kentucky Derby with my Gram while she baby sat us. We each bet $1 on a horse that race. My horse won. We now live on a street that got it's name from that horse! Random, huh?

We occasionally watch the Kentucky Derby, I have alway wanted to go to the Derby and get a big floppy hat!

DH used to go down to the derby with his boys, I've always wanted to go! I watch at home!

I used to love to watch horse races growing up!
Then I read about how awful the conditions are for many horses and how rampant drug abuse can be, and I kinda lost interest.
