I just bought one. I have an Occipital Nerve Stimulator implanted for my migraines, and I'm not allowed to have an MRI.

I did when I was little b/c I'm deathly allergic to penicillin! I haven't since I was a kid though.

No, but I do wear a Road ID, and so does my husband. Mine has pertinent contact information in case of emergency. My husband has medical conditions (Type 1 Diabetes, HBP) and a medical allergy, so that information is located on his bracelet.

@Mrs. Jacks: Truly. haha DH's cousin is a paramedic and he's always getting after me to wear one. I'm contemplating getting it tattooed on instead.

@.twist.: what was it for? Allergies, I assume?
I don't wear one. The only thing I'm allergic to is shellfish, so I don't think it is necessary.

@Mrs. Jacks: Rubber ones I can't wear because my cat would eat it and the cloth ones, at least the ones that I've seen, are not very stylish and I apparently have vanity problems.
@Arden: Penicillin.

@runsyellowlites: I used to wear one for penicillin as well! When I got older I thought about how rare it would be to give someone penicillin STAT before seeing my record and stopped cause of that. I was also a teen ...which may have had something to do with it haha

@knittylady: The reason to wear a penicillin bracelet is in the event you are not conscious. Doctors obviously won't prescribe it to you, but a paramedic dealing with an unconscious person wouldn't know.

I have one (and it's pretty!) but never wear it. It's for my migraines, which can resemble a stroke, and my seizures.

@Mrs. Jacks: The one I had was supposed to be sterling.
I kind of like the tattoo idea. I could also get a stainless steel one? I think I've heard of those?
