I put on a pair of small diamond stud earrings the other day because I wanted some sparkle. I Facetimed with my mom and she noticed and remembered that those earrings were from an ex I dated 8 years ago. She says I can't wear them but I disagree...they are just earrings to me!

I have a pair of small diamond studs that are from my late HS/early college ex. I wear them daily in my second ear piercings because they are pretty, and because I dated him so long ago that I really don't think it matters lol.

Haha, I never received any jewelry from exes so I don't have this problem! I would agree that they're fine to wear, unless it upset your DH or something.

DH is my first serious boyfriend so I don't have any jewellery from ex's but if I did, I wouldn't wear it. I'm very sentimental about gifts so it would seem like I'm keeping a part of my ex close to me. I would not like it if DH wore anything that his ex gifted him so I wouldn't do that to him.

I only received crappy jewelry from ex's so I didn't keep any of it. Diamond studs are too nice not to be worn. As long as you're not bothered by it, I would say keep wearing them.

I have a necklace and a bracelet from two different boyfriends that I wear occasionally because they're nice. No meaning behind it and DH knows who gave them to me so it's all good!

I have a couple necklaces from an ex that I still wear. I got into a huge argument with a friend of mine about whether it was okay to wear them after I started to date my now-husband. I think as long as the jewelry doesn't have meaning anymore, then you are free to wear it!!

I have a ring that an ex's mother gave to me sitting in my jewelry box, but its ugly so I never wear it. No one else ever gave me jewelry, but I would probably wear it.

I'd only do it if looking at the jewelry didn't remind me of him. Otherwise it would be too weird! Luckily (?), I don't seem to have any ex-jewelry I've been wanting to wear!

I sold a locket that my ex gave me to my jeweler and he put the funds against my wedding band. I hated that stupid locket too. He bought me yellow gold when I told him specifically that I didn't like yellow gold. I was furious.

The only jewelry I have from an ex is a ruby and diamond ring he got me as a promise ring. I would never wear it again. I plan on selling it....just haven't gotten around.

I had a couple of Tiffany silver pieces from an ex. Jewelry is too sentimental for me, so I never wore them. Finally just gave them to my sister so they weren't a total waste. IDK if they were diamond earrings though. Seems very sentimental, but also very nice to have and I'd probably want to keep them! Maybe, I'd tell DH the conflict and hope he'd get me new/bigger ones to replace them!

I have diamond earrings from an ex. They're just diamonds and have no sentimental value. I don't even remember "hey so and so gave me these" 99% of the time. And it's been 10 years and DH doesn't care

I have a strand of pearls that I kept wearing because I had wanted pearls so badly... for my birthday this year DH bought me pearls that are even bigger so I wear those now.
I also have a pair of black pumps from my ex and I wear those... I don't think I told DH that I got them from the ex though.
