I wear underwires because I don't feel as secure and supported without them. I don't know If I just haven't found the right one but none of the wireless ones have felt right for me.

As a D cup I find them more supportive and I get a better look. If I wasn't as big wireless would be great. I do love a good pushup though.

I just went for a bra fitting, and I tried a bunch of styles. I found that if I wanted something without a wire, I would have to make up for that with a more structured bra.

I went back to underwire.

Since my boobs are considerably bigger these days, I've definitely come to realize underwire gives much needed support. I know some lactation consultants say no wires while nursing, but if the bra is the right size, it shouldn't cause clogged ducts or feel uncomfortable. I have found getting measured by a bra specialty store really helps. I do tend to wear underwire for going out and seamless when I'm staying at home.

I love underwire bras, but for some reason when I bought expensive brands like wonderbra and victoria secrets, the wire kept popping out and wasnt too comfortable. I got a cheapie by Vasserrette and the underwire is sooooo comfortable.

Yes. I love my underwire bras. The only downside to them is I can't sleep in them when my boobs are super sore. I tried non-underwire many years ago and just felt like my girls, who aren't big to begin with, were droopy and not being given any shape.

@MrsBells - I have the same problem with VS underwire popping out. I ended up sewing it back into my favorite bra for a long time. I finally found some at Kohl's that I adore and wear every day. The underwire has never popped.

Without underwire, the girls look weird and saggy. Underwire for the win!
My nursing bras were all wireless, though. I just didn't like the fit of any of the ones with wire. Plus they were more comfy.

All I have to say is.... if you don't handwash your bras, expect the wires to pop out. End of story. ANY machine washing or drying greatly damages them, even delicate cycle.

@twist: Yep. I actually worked for VS for 4 1/2 years and I can't even count how many people tried to return bras that they had wrecked by machine washing them. The weight of the water is really, really hard on the materials and the most common problems it causes are wires popping and deforming the cups, it can also cause the outer material to shrink, it can weaken the seams on straps, it can tear up lace bras... tons of issues. If you look, almost any bra you buy clearly says on the tag "hand wash only". I know every VS bra does. They will return/exchange/replace for manufacturing defects, but they will not return or exchange if you caused the damage by ignoring the care instructions.

My secret to bra washing is to wash them in the shower. I take them in with me, scrub them down with my shampoo and them hang them over the edge of the tub to dry. It's quick, there is no extra time out of your day to do it and you don't have to deal with Woolite and filling your sink. Plus, they smell good and the shampoo is super gentle on the fabric.

@zippylef: wow! I never had that problem! Although, I LOVE the wash them in the shower tip so I might start doing that anyway! Then I don't have to wonder which good bra i have in the laundry!

I NEVER wear an underwire. Yuck! lol...I've worn a few in the past and I don't think I'll ever go back to them. I'm a 34C and get the support I need with a Barely There brand wire-free Invisible Look bra.

Underwires are so uncomfortable to me. I wore them for years until I found a wire-free bra by wonderbra that is so comfortable and very supportive! I'm a large C/ small D and it lifts well and has a nice shape. I'd definitely recommend!
