Right now the blog updates 6-7 times a day. I never wanted to update the site too often, because I'd eventually unsub from sites that updated too often even if I liked them. I just couldn't keep up.
What do you think? More, more, more? Less? Or just right?

Before I used the boards I wished it was more often. Not THAT much more, like 2-3 more posts/day. Now that I use the boards more it doesn't bother me as much.

i think -rather than the blog itself be updated more, i'd like to hear more from bloggers, if that makes sense? Like Ms Fairy Wings, or Mrs. Cat in the Cradle. i haven't heard from them in aaaaaages.

I think it's just right!...but I'm mostly on the boards, so maybe someone who is more strictly a blog reader, I could see how they may want more.

I think it's just right. I agree with you, if it gets to be too much it's overwhelming and no matter how much I like the site it's just too hard to follow and I fall behind and then stop.

I think it's just right M-F, although sometimes I do wish someone would update on the weekends, but I realize everyone has lives.

My only suggestion would be if it were possible to have a few weekend updates set to post or if one or two posts could be later in the day. I know y'all are EST and I'm PST, but I do wish ther would be posts later for us west coasters. I usually check in the mornings and there will be a few new blogs, but after 1 or 2, there's nothing new on the blogs. That being said, as PP have mentioned, having the boards to read helps.

I like how much is posted during the week, but I wish there was more over the weekend. Not as much, maybe like 2 or 3 times? It's always sad when I log on on a Monday (which is Sunday for you!) and there's nothing.
I do wonder what happened to a couple of the bloggers, like ms fairy wings, mrs hula hoop, mrs cat in the cradle...

I'd love to see a couple more later in the day since I'm on the West Coast. I also get sad when there's nothing new on weekends, but I totally understand that traffic tends to be lower at those times. I'm still up many times overnight, and HB is my go-to entertainment. I'm always excited when 3a my time rolls around bc I know something will be posted at 6a your time

I think there is just enough, except on days at work when I'm bored at work and have run out of things to read.

I could space out the posts a little bit more so that the last post of the day goes up later. The thing is that we can see a huge dip in traffic after 5pm, so the last post of the day often gets less comments.
As far as weekend posts, I think about work so much I need some time away from Hellobee. I do work on the weekends anyway, but the stress of not having to update helps. It's really a daily grind to update a site every single day.
We'll get there one day I think, but for now, I don't think we have enough bloggers.

@Mrs. Bee: Would it be possible to just save 2 posts from the week and post one on Saturday and one on Sunday?
I think currently its about the right amount of posts per day but like the idea of spacing them out a bit more. I get to work at 7:30 EST and usually wait for the first one to go up!

@Mrs. Bee: It would be great if the blog could be updated on the weekend. That's when I am typically looking for things to read and every time I load HB it has the same old post from Friday

I like the weekend suggestion (guest bloggers maybe?).
I think during the week timing is perfect- I live on the boards mostly, but read the blog once a day during the afternoon nap.

I think it is just about right in regards to how often. Would like to see continued posts from all the bloggers as it seems like once someone becomes a bee they post a ton then they drop off and rarely post (as others have said).

I think its just right! It's enough that I can check the blog about twice a day and see a new post or two, and I can keep up with it. If it updated anymore, I might not be able to read all the entries!
ETA: I don't get online during the weekend, only during the week. So for me, the no updating on the weekend means nothing to me LOL

@Thehistoryofus: i don't save posts for the weekend because they generally get less comments, so i feel like it's unfair to the bloggers whose posts go up on the weekend.
right now we just don't have enough bloggers, and we don't publish most of the guest posts we receive (since they are stand alone posts, the bar for guest posts is much higher).
i'd love to have half a dozen more bloggers actually... then we could probably start posting on the weekend!
