I think about this many times a day.

A lot of my parenting decisions are based on minimizing the chance that the kids will die. It motivates me to keep the kids safe! So while a bit macabre, I think it's a good thing that I am constantly thinking about different ways they could die (e.g. if Charlie goes into the bathroom, I imagine that maybe he could jump headfirst into the toilet and drown so I will get up and hustle him out of there. If he goes into the kitchen, I think about how if he pulls some hot grease down off the oven it could burn him all over. If Olive has a high temperature, I'll think about her burning up out of control.)

Does anyone else think about this stuff? Do you worry about your LO dying?
