So when you visit your hometown or somewhere you grew up do your friends come out to meet you? My husbands friends always give him crap that they miss him and that I stole him from them yet whenever we visit they are busy or ignore his texts or whatever. It's so bizarre!

Yes. I went back to my kind of hometown (lived there for 5yrs before moving to where we live now) last weekend and my 3 closest friends all made time to see me

I live in the same area as my hometown so this doens't really apply to me.
However, we go to DHs hometown a lot (like this weekend!) and we always see friends. But it is a small town, so no one really has to put any effort in to see each other. We just show up at the only bar in town and boom, there are all his friends. Easy peasy.

I'm not really close with anyone from my hometown. My friends and I all live along the same interstate, so we usually meet in the middle (we're all within 2-3 hours of one another).

yes because i'm the only one with two small kids so they usually travel to me luckily!

I usually swing by and stop at people's houses when I go back home if I see their cars (got to love a small town.) Specifically my best friend's parents who live on the main road. Othewise I only live 20 minutes away so it's not as big of a deal and we see people pretty often.

Well the city my husband is from is like a bar city, or everyone hangs at the bars. So when we go he tells them to meet up there or for dinner or something and they all make excuses or don't answer. Only his BFF visits. I just find it weird that people make a big stink about it and then when we visit they are nowhere to be found!
