I've seen a number of mentions of this on the boards! On the one hand, it's great when parents like your SO. On the other hand, it can be emotionally tough if they love your SO more than they love you!
Do your parents ever seem to love your SO more than they love you?

My mom LOVES DH, my sister does too, my dad doesn't really LOVE anything/anyone haha. I don't feel like they do more than they love me though.
I know DH's parents don't love me more than him, which doesn't say a lot because they're not his biggest cheerleaders either.

I often say they love him more, but it's not really true. I have a much stronger temper and can sometimes be too emotional, whenever I've talked with my folks about a fight we've had they usually take his side. They're right, but it's annoying.

My parents love my husband. But they don't love him more than they love me. And honestly, I think the biggest reason why they love him is because of how much he loves me and it makes them happy to know that I am happy and cared for.

My parents love LO more than anyone...Then the hubs...Then me! I'm in third place! But I'll take it. It wasn't always like this. My parents almost disowned me for marrying hubs but everything worked out in the end and I'm so glad they totally love him.

My Dad loooves DH b/c they are into all the same stuff. But I know my parents love me just as much (if not a smig more!)
His parents on the other hand tell me all the time that they love me more than their son. We all know they are joking but it feels good to know they care so much and approve of our relationship.

My parents think SO is great, but they are firmly on Team Daughter. (and like @Mamamoose said, a lot of that is based around their appreciation for how good a partner and father DH is)
DH's family is the same- they love me, but they love him more. I think it's fair

I think my parents love the hubby more than me! However, the hubby's family loves me more so I guess it kind of balances out. haha!

I tease my Hubs and tell him that my mom would keep him over me since she has another daughter but not a son, but it's all in jest. My mom loves me more, his parents love him more.
