When I was chatting to my mum and sister on Skype yesterday, they were on about sending Easter chocolate eggs over for A (she's four months old so clearly not happening, ha). They told me to save it till she was older but I told them actually, we don't want her eating much processed food/sugar at all.
Obviously there was a lot of eye rolling and comments of "oh everyone says that, you won't stick to it, everyone else will give her it".
I don't know why they're so convinced I'll fail before I've even started and secondly, um, you'd better not give my child crap behind my back!
You'd think it would be more helpful to encourage good intentions!
Do you find your good intentions are met with scoffing/resistance too?
