My parents are very computer savvy. My FIL and MIL on the other hand...they have an email account that they know how to open to see emails from us. When my MIL responds to emails, she responds under the original message. I have no idea how she does this since your cursor automatically goes to the top of the original message...it drives me BONKERS! lol

Yes, they know how to read email but saving pictures or attaching pictures is something they cannot grasp.

Yep, they all know how to e-mail. FIL is better than MIL, she doesn't do much but she can check and send a few things.

My MIL is amazing with email and technology. My parents, not so much. They can send emails, but they don't really get how open or send attachments. FIL is a whole different story. He doesn't even have a computer or an email account. It's so annoying b/c we have to print out all of our baby pictures and send them to him via snail mail... like we have time to do that as new parents.

My dad isn't great at it. He's bad at typing so the spelling is bad and he rarely uses punctuation. And sometimes it doesn't get to you because he thinks the send later button is send letter.
He also used to not know where the space bar is on his phone so texts would have words all running together.

My mom knows how to use hotmail only because i sat down and showed her for like two weeks and then finally made her right it down. (This was 10 years ago though so I'm guessing she doesn't still have to look at the page of notes).

My dad is tech savvy so yes. My mom knows how to respond to already established email chains, but not start new email threads. My in laws don't know how to use email.

In-laws do, but my parents don't... they have their laptop they use to surf the internet, but they don't use e-mail at all

My dad and in-laws know enough to get by. My mom recently learned. I have no clue though why she capitalizes "MOM" at the end of every email.

MIL writes me emails because I avoid speaking on the phone to her. They are fabulous in her own ESL way, she has her own version of LOL where she puts: (she laughs). She also will randomly start writing prayers in the middle of them- which drives me insane! FIL asks for things to be emailed to him, but never responds or initiates an email. He doesn't know how to put photos on the computer, he has brought photos albums to my dad and asked him to post them all to Facebook. They were all pictures of himself. He wants an entire fb album of himself... Yea, he's awesome like that
