DH is an only child. My younger brother lives in NYC (1.5 hour plane ride away). I wish they could move back home, so we could see each other more and see his (future) babies grow up nearby! But, alas, his career will probably keep him on the East Coast.
Do your siblings nearby? Does your LO have cousins nearby?

My sibling lives about a 4 hour plane ride away and DH is an only child so I'm in the same boat as you. I never had cousins close by growing up, it didn't really bother me at all.

We are in northern Texas and my WHOLE family (nephews, brother, sil, sister, bil, parents) live in Western New York. We only see them once a year (when we go to them, they NEVER come to us.....)

My brother lives a 3.5-4 hour plane ride away (no LOs), and DH's brother lives a 3-3.5 hour plane ride away (3 LOs).

My sister lives about 30 minutes away and we see her all the time (at least 2-3x a week). She also teaches at a school that's 5 minutes from our house. She doesn't have any kids yet and DH is an only child, so our kids don't have any cousins

My stepbrothers lives like half an hour away, but we don't talk at all. The rest of my siblings live at least a 3 hour flight away.
D's closest brother lives two hours away, and we see them 1-2 times every 2 or so months...we'll drive down for a weekend. His other brother lives like a 10 hr drive away, and we see them a few times a year.

Both of my sisters live about 25 min from me and one of them has LOs close to the same age as my LO. My brother lives halfway across the country, so we see him and his family about once a year.
DH's siblings live in the country where he grew up and we only see them and their families when we go visit each year. They have never come to the US.

No We live overseas so all three of mine and all six of DH's live in our home towns. DD has loads of cousins but never sees them. To be honest though, I think she has the same relationships with friends and their kids who do live close to us, so she doesn't really miss out.

Yes, my family and DH's family are all within 20 minutes. I grew up near my extended family so we moved where our kids could have that too.

My older sister who has 3 kids lives about 4 blocks away from me and my little sister lives in Florida with my dad and step mom.
DH's younger brother lives about an hour's drive. He has a 1 month old DD. His older sisters live in MO or FL with their children.

My brother lives down the street with their LO, and my sister lives about a 10 minute drive with her LO. It's fantastic! All the babes are within a year of each other so i hope they'll grow up to be close!

No unfortunately! My brother has 3 girls but they live in MI and we are in NY. We try to seem them a few times a year though! Like, lo is 14 months and has met her cousins 3x already, and will spend a week with them this summer as well.
Dh's sister lives in DC but doesn't have kids, but we see her even more often than my family

All of our siblings are close by (within 10 minutes), but none of them have kids yet. But there WILL be plenty of cousins close, in the future.

My sister lives with me, but my brothers are in GA. None of them have kids and it will be a long time before any of them do.

Not at all. I have a brother in Virginia, a sister in L.A., two sisters in Georgia, and a brother who basically just travels internationally constantly. I think he considers his home base Paris, but he's mostly in Asia these days.

My brother/SIL (no kids) live about 10-15 min away. My SIL and nephew life in NYC (we are in Ohio). We only see her once or twice/year.

DHs siblings live 3 hours away by car. My siblings both moved across the country and are 5 hours by plane.
None of them have kids. I don't think our kids will have many cousins!

My only sibling is childfree by choice.
DH has 1 full sibling (no kids either) and 1 half sibling. His half sib has two kids. They live maybe 15-20 min away, but we don't see them often. They're much older than DS and have lots of activities.

My siblings have most of the cousins (13) and they're 1.5-2 hours away. so not super far, but far enough that they don't visit often (I mostly go out there because it's easier since I don't have kids. I wonder if that might even out once we do have one?)
Only one of DH's siblings has kids, and they're older now (like 17 and 21). We rarely see them even though they're local.

No, my brother lives in Japan. DH's brother lives half an hour away and his sister lives a few hours away. Both of our bros are single, no kids. LO's only cousin lives 3 hrs away.

My brother lives about 13 hours away (we are on opposite ends of California). He has 2 little boys that I barely know and I doubt we will ever live closer. Dhs brother lives about 7 hours away in Oregon. We are hoping to spend more time with them and their twins when dd is older.

My LO doesn't have cousins yet. I'm an only child, but my DH has two younger brothers. One lives 2.5 hours away by car and one lives 5 hours away by plane. We see the one who lives 2.5 hours away the most. He comes home for all major holidays and family events.

No! Both my sisters live in other states. I am hoping by the time the married one is ready to start having kids she'll move back to California. That's her ideal plan, it's just so much more expensive here than in Louisiana! My youngest sister doesn't have kids yet either but she might move even farther away soon with her boyfriend!

Yes. Mt farthest sibling is a 3 hour drive away. The rest are within 20 min. DH's siblings live within walking distance.

Two of my sisters are a 3 and 6 hour plane ride away, my other sister and in-laws are 15-30 minutes away.

My brother lives half way around the world and doesn't really care to inquire about us. BIL lives 1.5 hours away and we visit them (or vice versa) when we can. He has an 8 year old son that enjoys hanging around DS.
