I've been flossing like crazy so I thought I would have the best cleaning ever… But the upper right portion of my teeth kinda curve upward and I guess I haven't been flossing that part well enough. So when I had my teeth cleaned today, there was some bleeding in that area and then my hygienist did a demonstration to show me how to floss. Never a good sign, facepalm.
Do your gums bleed when you get a cleaning?

Yep, I've been trying to be more diligent about flossing...and gum car... but they always bleed. I have genetically weak teeth/gums.

Yes. I've been flossing like crazy lately (more like, regularly) because I had to get scaling done a few months ago. I have a feeling I will always get the subtle thumbs down because of the way my teeth are spaced.

P.S. It's expensive and a bit painful so don't ask your dentist about it. Just be grateful they didn't recommend it to you...and keep on flossing!

I'm mostly flossing to set a good example for the kids! If anything happens to them, I would probably stop flossing and everything else good I do and just die an early death a few years later.

They don't bleed, but they get sore. I do my best at remembering to floss...but I suck at it!

Yes! I have sensitive gums so my hygenist tells me to brush my gums frequently to toughen them up.

Mine do. I just went yesterday. But I'm a terrible, horrible, almost-never-do-it flosser. I was really surprised that the dentist didn't say anything to me about it!

I just had a cleaning today, and it wasn't too bad. My gums got much better after I started brushing better. I don't floss much, and I know I should do it more. But I had a hygienist tell me once that if you brush well enough, you won't have to floss as much.

Yup, I floss everyday (because of my braces) and my gums still bleed at cleanings. I think the tools they use get under the gums, which might be hard if you use regular floss. At least, that's what I tell myself to make myself feel a bit better.

They used to. Since I go every 6 months, no bleeding!
