Which one do you have and is it worth the $$?

No, but I was at a friend's house last weekend and she has 3! (1 for trash, 2 for recycling). I don't know what brand they are, but I liked them.

My in-law's have one in their kitchen, and I'm not a fan. It's one more thing that can break, and I like simple trash cans.

We have a Simplehuman trash can . . . totally worth the extra money!

No because we have a dog that likes to open the trash can and pull things out. We just bought a new trash can that has a lock on the lid and we love it.

We got ours feom Costco 3-4 years ago & love them! It came with a big one & little. We have only changed the batteries once. It can be hard to clean the inside of the lid sometimes but as long as you don't pack your trash full its okay.

we used to have one, and i loved it! we called it our robot. The only negative was that it took longer to close on it's own than a normal trash can, and DH couldn't stand the smell of trash for those few extra seconds! I had it for 6+ years and then the sensor stopped working as well and we switched up for a normal one. I still miss it sometimes

We use to and we got it from BJs. It's so awesome. But now in our new house we have built into our cabinets and a open garbage can won't look right. I don't remember the brand but I'll check next time I'm over at the ILs since we gave it to them.

We do, I think it's great! It opens quickly, and shuts fairly quickly too. I bought it at Costco just a few months ago, it's huge (too big for our garbage bags!) I don't remember the brand though.

We have one at work, I hate it with a passion- this is the crap they buy when they cut our bonuses??
I want to take it out in a field with a baseball bat and Office Space it! It opens at random times and never opens when I need it to, and even shuts on me. Give me a foot pedal one any day
