It seems to be only sold at BRU.. does anyone have it? What are your thoughts?

we just got an evenflo tribute for free at a lactation club meeting. It's nice. That one looks really cool.

We just bought a Evenflo Platinum Triumph. I got it because our other carseat was just too inclined while RF and it always touched the front seats. This one is not as inclined and also it isn't as wide at the top, so there is plenty of clearance.
The triumph is awesome. Cushy, good for small cars, compact, and I love the way the straps work (a knob instead of a strap. In my compact car it is easier with the angles, etc.)
My old carseat is a Graco MyRide 65. It is now in husband's car.
We got the Triumph instead of a Foonf. Generally I wouldn't spend the money for a Foonf, but we have a bargain place near by that has lots of high end baby stuff for half off or more. The Foonf was 220, so we considered it. The Triumph was 160, but more than that, it just fit into a compact car better. We went to BRU (actually TRU, we don't have a BRU close by but our TRU is like half toys and half baby) and put all the seats on the ground at max recline to see which would fit best.
Not sure the difference between the platinum symphony and the platinum triumph, but I really like the one we got!

I have a different Evenflo seat but I love the straps which are the same as the one you posted. The thread free height change is awesome and I love that the tightening knob is on the side so it's super easy to get properly tight while rear facing

@Mrs. Sketchbook: our BRU is actually a TRU with a teeny BRU attached on!
We got it last night!
I have a few questions, though I'm not sure if they're Evenflo specific or convertible in general..
LO's head keeps falling forward. We're going on a 2 hour road trip today so I'm trying to figure out how to remedy that if we want him to sleep on the way there
annnd when I got him out this morning he had a big red mark on his neck from the straps.. any ideas?

@MrsTiz: was his head flopped forward when he got the red marks? if he's flopping forward a lot, you should increase the incline, you may need a rolled up towel or pool noodle to get a better angle. check the strap hight for the red marks, if he's not flopped forward and still getting them it might be because they're too high, rear facing the straps should be at or below shoulder hight, not above his shoulders.

@mrs. bird: We've got a towel under it right now and we have it as reclined as possible.. it flops forward still but it is better since we added the towel. I'll make sure to check the straps when we go out later!
