I have a PnP, but registered for this recently because of its compactness and maneuverability. The mattress seemed super cushy/comfy compared to that of a PnP! Hoping this will help DD transition and stay in her own crib afterwards unlike DS. *fingers crossed*

I really, really wanted one for lo2! But, the price tag for it here I thought was insane ($469 NZD) So I didn't Not sure how long lo2 would've lasted in it though because she's above average for length/weight.

Yes. I had one for my second. I liked it because it has the mesh so you can see your baby and vice versa, but I didn't use the swivel that much because our bed is high and it wasn't tall enough to swivel over my thighs when I was sitting up. but it definitely weighs a ton and it really isn't portable. The push down side made it a little easier to get her in and out but it needs to be pushed down pretty hard (for safety reasons) so it wasn't super useful. They also grow out of it really quickly, around 5 months and she started to get too big for it. And if you live in a small apartment, it is tough and clunky to store. So I guess if you get it as a gift, then it's great but I don't know if I would spend $200 on it myself.

We have it, and loved it.

I'm debating getting on myself, the cost is the only thing really keeping me from it. So I'm watching this thread!

One review I read mentioned liked it because it's so heavy large dogs can't knock it over and as we have a 90lb and 60lb dog so it was big perk for me. Plus cats who probably don't have enough weight to knock it over but you know cats...

I want to buy this too but its so expensive. Too bad you are not out in CA. Two moms are selling it on Facebook for around $115 with sheets. My husband is against having another bassinet because our daughter refused to sleep on top of the 4moms breeze removable bassinet.

@maybebaby: my dd had terrible reflux and spat up A LOT, and we just folded up a couple of blankets under the mattress of the bassinest. Worked great!

@ohemgee: I have the 4moms breeze also and if I'm not gifted this bassinet, that's what we plan on using for DD. DS slept in it okay, and we traveled in it a lot, but it's bulky and super heavy!

Following! I'm debating between this and the simpler, cheaper fisher price bassinet. This is my first, I have no idea if i'll have a c-section, and it's hard to know what we'll really need until there's an actual baby in our house. So it's hard to justify the cost if it's not as useful for us. I like the portability of the FP bassinet (I could see us bringing it to grandma's house this summer) as well as the price tag.

This thread only made me more indecisive though

@ShootingStar: Did you decide yet? I'm considering one of these for our second as well, butttt we have a PNP with a newborn napper/diaper changing station so it seems very indulgent. I'd love to be able to grab baby without standing up, not scoot when I need to get out of bed, and rest a hand on baby/see baby easier...

I've been watching craigslist but everyone lists them so pricey when I compare new Amazon with a registry completion discount.

@ShootingStar: I thought I wanted the halo too until I saw it in real life and its so big! I didn't think it was going to be so hard to find little basinette for beside our bed...

I'm planning to get this if/when we have another. What I really love about it is that it has the "effect" of a co-sleeper but the safety of a crib. LO slept in a RnP a lot as a newborn and first of all, it's not really approved for nighttime sleep, and secondly it was a pain to transition her to a crib since she was used to the cuddly inclined RnP.
