This is a completely random thread!

Last night DH and I were watching Fargo (the film) and it's set it North Dakota (In Fargo, no less!). Brr.... it looked bitterly cold!! I had a look on Wikipedia and it says that North Dakota has long winters with temperatures as low as -50c. Brrrrrr! But I also discovered that North Dakota has warm summers, unlike Maine and Minnesota which are cold all year round?? How awful!!

DH reckons he would get used to the cold really easily (he actually loves the idea of moving to Maine - but he failed to mention cold to me!!) I'm not sure I would EVER get used to it!!

Do you live in a really cold place? What's it like? Are you accustomed to the cold or does it beat the crap out of you every time you open the door??

I can't imagine having to de-ice my car every time I want to go somewhere? And I can't imagine wearing heavy clothes and boots all the time! How do you drive in snow boots?? Doesn't your hallway get really wet from people traipsing in from the snow??

I'm fascinated! Tell me about your life in a cold place!
